ˈhɛndəl ; 23 February 1685 (.S.) (N.S.) 5 March - 14 April 1759) three was a German-born,
British Baroque composer who spent the bulk of his profession in London, turning into famous for

did not improve his eyesight, however probably made it worse. 50 He died eight years later in 1759
at dwelling in Brook Road, at age seventy four. The last performance he attended was of Messiah.
Handel was buried in Westminster Abbey seventy one Greater than three thousand mourners
attended his funeral, which was given full state honours.
The 105-volume Haendel-Gesellschaft ("Handel Society") version was printed between 1858 and
1902—primarily as a result of efforts of Friedrich Chrysander For contemporary performance, the
realisation of the basso continuo displays 19th century apply. Vocal scores drawn from the edition
were printed by Novello in London, however some scores, such because the vocal rating to Samson
are incomplete.
