This capstone course concludes with a research based Course Project that starts during the first week of the session and continues throughout the duration of the class. It culminates with the submission of a formal written report in Week 7. Guidelines
It is important to note that the first deliverable of this assignment is due on the Sunday of Week 1, so students must get organized and right into the project.
The Task
The primary focus of this assignment is for the student to research and assess the issues associated with a specific emerging technology. It requires that student submit an APA formatted, 10-12 page paper, during Week 7 of the session. Students will also conduct a peer evaluation of another student’s work, during Week 6, and must prepare a 5-10 minute presentation communicating their thoughts on the work.
The Paper must be well researched and utilize scholarly resources (refer to the Week 7 APA Paper Template under the Course Project page and the Writing and Research Help page located under Course Home). The final product should include the following components:
· A title page – Including the student’s name
· An abstract
· A table of contents
· An introduction, including a clearly defined thesis statement (Roughly 1 page)
· A historical timeline that diagrams at least 3 predecessors to the emergent technology that includes a written assessment on how these technologies influenced the development of the current technology (Roughly 2 pages) – Please note that the timeline should be a horizontal visual component at the beginning of the section and the written assessment should take up a majority of the 2 pages.

She is aware of the concerns and knows how important the presentation will be in creating a favourable association with virtual teams, as well as a good opportunity to build engagement, trust and candour among the team members.
To prepare for the virtual meeting she has asked you to: (i) evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of synchronous and asynchronous communication, and (ii) develop recommendations on how to use both synchronous and asynchronous communication tools, to not only be productive, but to maintain positive working relationships.

Persuasion aims to influence other people’s behaviours and attitudes. Successful persuasion shows readers ‘what’s in it for them’. Persuasive writing is one of the main types of academic writing. At work, some of the persuasive documents you might have to write are proposals, offers to clients, and memos suggesting alternative methods or new ways of doing particular tasks.
Persuasive writing has all the features of analytical writing (that is, information plus reorganising the information), with the addition of your own point of view. Most essays at university are persuasive, and there is a persuasive element in at least the discussion and conclusion of a research article. Points of view in academic writing can include an argument, a recommendation, interpretation of findings or evaluation of the work of others.
In persuasive writing, each claim you make needs to be supported by some evidence, for example a reference to research findings or published sources. The kinds of instructions for a persuasive assignment include: argue, evaluate, discuss, take a position.

Task: Create an annotated bibliography of four sources that could be used for your research project, including at least two articles from scholarly journals.
Length: Four citations, each with an annotation of 150 +/- 25 words (125-175 words each). The entire completed assignment should be at least 600 words.
Sources: Four sources related to your research question, including at least two from scholarly journal articles. All four sources should be high-quality sources that you can use in your research project. Refer to Week 3: Selecting Sources Wisely. You may decide to use some or all of the sources that you posted in Week 3, Discussion 1: Identifying and Evaluating Sources.
Due date and grading: This assignment is due by the end of Week 4. This assignment will be graded with a rubric and will count for 20% of your course grade. To view the grading rubric, access the assignment through the Assignments area of the classroom.
Outcomes you should achieve by completing this assignment
The annotated bibliography contributes to the research project by helping you collect and analyze your sources. The outcomes for this assignment are listed below, with the associated course outcomes in parentheses:

· Explain the nature of selected sources and their relevance of sources to the research paper (Course outcome 4)
· Set up an annotated bibliography in APA format (Course outcome 4)
· Demonstrate accurate grammar and mechanics in writing (Course outcome 3)
Topic
The annotated bibliography is part of your research project, which examines a current issue or event in the news from the perspective of your field of study. The annotated bibliography builds on your work from the first few weeks of class selecting an appropriate topic and then developing a more focused research question. Indicate your research question at the top of your annotated bibliography, just below the title.
What to do
Following the explanation in the videos posted in class (The Annotated Bibliography) and the Sample Annotated Bibliography, create an annotated bibliography of four sources. For each source, include:
· Reference citation in APA format
· Annotation of 150 ±25 words, formatted in a single paragraph, with
· summary
· evaluation
· use
You may (but do not have to) use CiteFast to create your reference citations. If you use CiteFast, be sure to check for accuracy and make any necessary corrections.
Formatting your assignment
Incorporate these elements of APA style:
· Use one-inch margins.
· Double space.
· Use an easy-to-read font between 10-point and 12-point.
· Reference citations should be formatted with a hanging indent.
· Organize the annotated bibliography in alphabetical order, according to the first word of.

Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.
