This document describes a GSM-based wireless electricity billing system with time-of-day metering. The key components include an optical interface to read energy meter pulses, a microcontroller to calculate consumption and bills, an LCD display, real-time clock, and GSM modem for wireless communication. The system aims to automate electricity billing and provide benefits like more accurate billing, real-time consumption data, and customized rates compared to traditional manual billing processes. Block diagrams and PCB layouts are shown, along with a components list and estimated project schedule.
