2. Use of The, A and An: Utilización de The, A y An
• The: we use the when the accompanying noun begins with a
consonant sound, in case the word begins with a vowel sound, we use
the article an. Article example: (the boy is in the park).
• A, AN: These articles in Spanish are known as un and una are
indefinable articles because although they are talking about only one
thing, they do not specify which one.
• It is different when we say a ball/ a ball, than the ball/ la ball.
• example:
• a dog

3. Use of interrogative words: Uso de las
palabras interrogativas
They are those that are used to ask about a topic or personal information. The
interrogative words are: that, who, which, how, where, when, how much, why.
• Example of its use:
• 1. What are you doing?
• 2. which do you like?
• 3. where are you from?
• 4. how do you play the guitar?
• 5. Who is hungry?
• 6. when is the dance?
• 7. why do you walk like that?
• 8. How many dogs do you have?

4. Prepositions of place: Las preposiciones de
lugar
• This word does not serve as connectors within the sentence to
indicate the place where the action is carried out or the
actions referred to by the speaker take place.
• Example of them:
• 1. I'm standing in line behind your
brother

5. Frequency adverbs: Los adverbios de
frecuencia
• We use them to express the
frequency with which an action is
performed, that is, when we want
to talk about the frequency with
which we do something.
• Example:
• Manuel always goes to the park

6. Adverbs of place: Los adverbios de lugar
•Word that we use to indicate
the place where some being,
or object is located.
• Example:
•1. Outside it is raining a lot.
•2. The door closed in front
of Rodrigo.

7. Demonstrative adjectives: Los adjectivos
demostrativos
• These show or indicate any
person, place or object.
• Example:
• 1. This piece of furniture is
the one I ordered to paint.
• 2. That restaurant is more
crowded than it is, it must be
better.
