Grooming
“First impression is the last impression”
Very important for creating a good image.
It is the theme of our professional personality.
For enhancement of outer appearance.
Important to look professional in interviews.
Personal qualities required for working in aviation
and hospitality
Confidence is the key.
Effective Communication skills.
Correct body posture.
Well groomed and polished.
Positive attitude.
Punctual.
Types of skin
Normal skin.
Dry skin.
Oily skin.
Combination skin.
Normal Skin
 Even tone and soft.
 Non-visible pores and smooth texture.
 The skin is neither dry nor greasy; supple surface.
Dry Skin
 Has low level of sebum and can be prone to sensitivity.
 Crackling/chapping out of skin due to extreme dryness.
 Can cause due to dehydration.
 Moisturize the skin as soon as it dries out.
Oily Skin
 Shiny and thick.
 It is prone to blackheads.
 Sebaceous glands are more active; hence produces more oil.
Combination Skin
 Is thin or fine textured.
 Is oily only in the T-zone.
 The skin is dry on the cheeks and mostly sensitive.
My skin type :
 I have oily skin.
 My skin is shiny and occasional pimples are common.
Remedies for my skin type :
 Keep yourself hydrated.
 Use cleanser, toner and moisturize twice a day.
 Use cleanser which contains sulfur or tea tree oil.
 Oatmeal face pack- oatmeal+honey (leave for 10-15mins)
Or Egg whites and lemon ( leave until the mask dries out).
Types of Hair
Normal hair.
Dry hair.
Oily hair.
Combination hair.
Normal hair
It is neither dry nor greasy.
Normal hair holds its style and look most of the time.
Dry hair
 Don’t have enough oil to maintain its normal texture.
 Rough and gets tangled easily.
 Lacks shine.
Oily hair
Very greasy; which accumulate oil on the scalp and hair.
Looks sticky.
Easily gets dirty.
Combination hair
 Combination hair are neither dry nor greasy.
 The appear normal and healthy.
 Difficult to comb in wet hair.
My hair type :
 I have Dry hair.
 Looks frizzy at the ends.
Remedies for my hair type :
use mild shampoo and conditioner.
Apply hair oil once( or twice) a week overnight.
Avoid washing your hair everyday.
Avoid blow drying or heat styling.
Egg+honey+yogurt hair mask.
Avoid hot showers.
Suitable diet
 Eating healthy is good for both skin and your hair.
 Balanced diet is important for your organs and tissues to work
efficiently.
 Will reduce fatigue and will immune the body.

 First impression is the last impression.
 World will take you seriously when you are well groomed.
 It is important to present yourself as a professional because
the company should be convinced that you are mature.
 Well groomed personality speaks about your character before
you do.
Conclusion
I am very thankful to Frankfinn Institute for giving me the
opportunity to learn and to develop a personality,
communication skills, mannerism, and respect time. I have also
learned how to maintain my skin and hair.
I am extremely thankful to our Grooming trainer, guidance and
support Ms. Ashima Haque, to make us better and helped us
improve.
