BACKGROUND, PROBLEMS AND ISSUES
HISTORY
It was almost 60 years ago when this part of Makati was opened by
the Ayala Corporation as its first post war residential subdivision. It
used to be part of Barrio Tejeros carved out of rice land, water lilies,
kangkong, talahib and other swamp undergrowth. But even for those
who start a new home they can truly call their own, it was a good
enough place to live in. By May 1949, no more than five families have
built their modern homes.

Design Description
PROPOSED TRICYCLE TERMINAL
The REGULATED BARANGAY TRICYCLE TERMINAL shall be a state-of-the-art,
sustainable, and passenger friendly. The structure itself is distinctive
having its pedestal made of reinforced concrete with tubular steel
section columns and rafters, which makes the terminal very rigid and
designed to withstand disasters like typhoon.
An attractive architectural feature is shown thru the wide-overhung roof,
which is very adaptive in our tropical climate. It can provide shade from
the piercing heat of the sun, and protection from heavy rains.
Special Features
– Solar Panel
– Comfort room for drivers and passengers
– Rainwater collection system
– Rubber boats positioned on Roof Top
– CCTV equipped and Wi-Fi
BUDGETARY COST OF THE REGULATED TRICYCLE TERMINAL
• The Proposed Regulated Tricycle Terminal will incur a Minimal Budget
should a Sponsorship will be encouraged by the Barangay such as Gasoline
Stations like Petron, Shell, Total, Caltex and the like. Donations from the
business partners of the Tricycle Consortium can play a big role from the
Paints, Steel works and Roofing Materials, including the Signages.
• For a background on the Budgetary Cost. Assumming an example area of
one Module that may cater to 5 Tricycle Units. An area of 5.00m x 10.00 =
15sq.m. can be assumed at P5,000 per sq.m. is equal to P75,000.00 for the
Structure alone . Budget for these project shall increase depending on the
Open space covered as provided for by the Private Owners.
• In case of completing the Project for Disaster- Risk Reduction purposes
which means provision of water tank, Comfort rooms and Inflatable Boats
in the whole package, a Budgetary cost of P10,000 .00 per sq.meter can fit
to the project. Thus a MODULE of 5mx10m has a total of P150,000.00

THE GREEN WALLS
The green wall system has a great potential for positive environmental change
in Brgy. La Paz, particularly given the large blank walls that the street of
Zobel Roxas has. These green walls decreases the amount of emissions
caused by vehicles that passes thru Barangay streets.
With these passive cooling features, a great impact on different aspects in the
community is attained. It reduces urban heat effect, improve exterior air
quality, and aesthetic improvement of Barangay walkways and streets.
