This presentation was delivered by Mr. Manish Patel, at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) seminar on GREEN BUILDING DESIGN - BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES - 26th August 2011 at Vadodara, Gujarat, India.
Green building - Introduction & general ideasSanjay Kashyap
This presentation gives you a brief introduction & general idea about green buildings. Though lot more issues could've been put in the show, I just didn't want to overload with contents... I'll refine this presentation in a few days time & a newer version of this presentation will be ready...
Design strategies used for the construction of building to lower the negative impact on environment lower the energy use. eco friendly and local material used.
The building envelope is physical separator between the exterior and the interior of the building and fenestration systems.
Envelope design strongly affects the visual and thermal comfort of the occupants, as well as energy consumption in the building.
leed, rating system, green designs, sustainability, green concept, different rating systems of leed, manitoba hydro place, leadership in energy and environmental design, comparison between leed and other rating system , leed india

INDIRA PARYAVARAN BHAVAN- Case study/ Net Zero Energy Building/ Sustainable B...Chandana R
Case study on Indira Paryavaran Bhavan, Jor Bhag, New Delhi.
THIS IS A PROJECT OF MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT AND FORESTS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF NEW OFFICE BUILDING AT NEW DELHI.
THE BASIC DESIGN CONCEPT OF THE PROJECT IS TO MAKE THE NET ZERO ENERGY GREEN BUILDING.
This presentation gives an idea about the various types of intelligent envelopes used in the different types of buildings in different climatic conditions.

Jasmin Mercado
Tim Shook
Tyler Jadot
The offices are on the second floor of the schickel design building, which is just over 160 years old now.
This project, which was designed by Chuck Lohre, earned LEED platinum on May 5th 2011 at a low cost because of the materials the were salvaged and reused.
Also this was a big step for Green Cincinnati because as the quote stated it marked the first marketing communications office worldwide to receive the LEED platinum certification.
Green Building Case Study on TERI,bangalore.Vinay M
This presentation basically encompasses the green practices which are followed or incorporated in the structure to attain the platinum rating systems and posses the sustainable features that way..!!
Participants will:
1. Learn about approaches to identifying, quantifying, and investigating IGU performance problems and how results needed can inform the investigation tools/processes used.
2. Learn about the unique design challenges with replacing structurally glazed IGUs and how those challenges were overcome.
3. Learn how quality assurance procedures can be used to deliver innovative products that meet performance expectations.
4. Learn about how building enclosure repair implementation can be as challenging as figuring out how to repair the damaged building enclosure component.
Case Studies of Sustainable Office buildings, these both case studies are based on sustainable features adopted inorder to make the entire structure energy efficient as well as encourage work environment within the premises, i hope it helps out students of architecture, engineering backgrounds!!!...
This is a basic overview of the role of assessment or green rating systems in the design of buildings. It looks most closely at the LEED Version 2 system for New Construction and has not yet been updated to address LEED 2009.

Enterslice team helps in Reducing the burden on founders via well defined & Evaluated process, structure, and investor connections. Overall roughly a 1.5 % % hit rate for the companies that pitched in 2015 for Funding.
Capital Raising is also a tremendous time commitment. It is not uncommon to spend 2 to 6 months of nearly full-time effort on a successful venture round.
We can help. We’ve been through the process multiple times; we’ve served as Lead Advisor, Consultant to Founders, Interim CEO or CFO to startup clients that have successfully raised funding.

Decarbonising Planet Earth ThroughGreen Building JIT KUMAR GUPTA
Buildings are known to be largest consumers of black and green energy besides consuming and generating large waste. Buildings remain anti-thesis to the nature, environmnet, ecology and resources. Every act of development is an act aginst nature. In order to make this planet earth more sustainable, liveable, having minimum carbon footprints, it will be critical to plan, design and construct buildings which are sistainable and least conumers of non-renewable resources. Building are like human beings, always evolving and devolving. Buildings need to be viewed as living entities, breathing all the times. Looking at the context of human living and global sustainability, buildings have to be viewed , planned, designed and constructed differently and distinctly. Buildings need to be valued and planned and designed in a most professional manner.Buildings hold the key to global and human sustainability.. They need best of professional input to make them promoters of quality living.
Building Design has become very complex and National Building Code 2005 recommends that there should be an integrated approach for the design from the very beginning. This has to be achieved by team work, with the team consisting of the Architect, Structural and Services (Electrical, Mechanical, Air-conditioning, Plumbing, Sanitary) engineers.
Buildings like machines, remain major consumers of energy and resources. Critical issue in buildings shall remain; what kind of energy is used by the buildings- in majority of cases ,it is black energy, generated by burning coal, which is used in buildings. Buildings have not only to migrate from energy efficiency but have also to ensure that energy used is green and not black . Solar ,wind and geo-thermal energy remains the best options. While solar and wind energies are to be captured whereas geo-thermal energy is available within the building. However, technology is yet to catch up the geo- thermal energy.
Building design, material and construction technologies remain critical for any building to become zero-energy. Infact buildings have to graduate from zero-energy position to Energy positive .In achieving the agenda the role of architects will be critical. Infact designing and constructing energy positive building should be embedded in the study curricula of both architecture and civil engineering in order to achieve the defined agenda of energy optimization.
This presentation was done as part of the seminar work to be done by final year B.Tech students of Kerala University at Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology, dept. of civil engineering.
Growing and potential impacts of climate change, such as flooding in coastal areas, change in weather patterns, and melting of the permafrost have created new challenges for the engineering and construction industry. These challenges involve adaptation in the design and construction of projects to address these impacts, as well as developing ways to reduce and controlling greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to mitigate climate change.
Engineering has the lead responsibility for determining the technical feasibility and cost parameters to overcome these challenges. Engineering and construction projects are implemented with the help of a set of standard documents that lay out the work process of the projects. They include standard design detail drawings, standard design criteria, standard specifications, design guides and work process flow diagrams. Incorporating in these standard documents materials and processes which assist project engineers to identify and assess climate change related impacts can be a major step in effectively preparing to meet the challenges of climate change mitigation and adaptation.
