INTRUDUCTION
We chose this topic because it is a very interesting
and important. We give sense to Greeks in having
gods for almost every creation of nature.
OBJECTIVES
General:

believed in.
Specific:

MYTHOLOGY
It can refer to the collective myths of a group of
people explaining nature and customs or to a set of
traditions or beliefs.
GREEK MYTHOLOGY ROMAN MYTHOLOGY
It is much older than the roman
mythology
It was created 1000 years after the
Greek mythology
Their myths are collected in a book
called the Iliad
Their myths are collected in a book
called the Aeneid
Gods were based on human
personality traits
Gods were named after objects
Importance of the physical life on
earth rather than on afterlife
Mortals did good actions on earth to
be rewarded in the afterlife
Gods were based on human traits, so
they had characteristics
The gods’ characteristics weren’t
important
Mortals were important in the world The gods were all that mattered
They were individual They worked on teams
Creativity was more important than
physical work
They focused on actions rather than
words
Greeks had extraordinary beauty Romans didn’t have physical
appearance
GREEK MYTHOLOGY EGYPTIAN MYTHOLOGY
They have 12 main gods They have 5 main gods
Its history won’t change anymore It has more history
They liked wisdom They liked art
They burned their dead They momificated their dead
They wrote their own myths They drew their own myths
Their gods lived in the Olympus The gods lived on earth
A god and a human can see and fall in
love
You can’t see or talk to a god
They didn’t care about money They cared about power and goods
They were more sophisticated and
changed a lot
They always stayed the same

WHY IS MITHOLOGY INTERESTING?
The stories are symbolic, with moral lessons and puzzles. In it,
you can find human truths and the basics of our culture.
CYCLOPS
They were a wild, enormous race, and had a single eye in the
middle of their foreheads. They were the workmen of
Hephaestus.

The centaur is a mythological creature. Its upper part
is human and the rest of its body, (four legs and a tail)
is of a horse.
CENTAURS
PEGASUS
Pegasus is a winged white horse. It sprang from the
blood of Medusa when Perseus killed her. Pegasus
brings the thunder to Zeus.
CONCLUSION
We concluded that people should give more
importance to the beauty and intelligence of Greeks.
