Overall I think that the quality of the work you can produce by using this method is
extremely high because if you are in the right place at the right moment and have a
good eye for photographs, then you can capture some really amazing photos, but
like I said you have to be in the right place a the right time which will be the
difference between you getting a good photograph and a amazing photograph. The
speed can vary for this method because you might be able to take a photograph that
you like in seconds or you could be taking photos of the same thing just from
different angles for hours if you cant seem to get the right image. Similar products
will be produced differently to mine because I took my photo on my camera on my
phone and the majority of professional photos will be taken on a top range camera
most likely as they will be able to get a higher quality photo than I would be able to
capture on my phone. The audience for my product could really be anyone as its not
really a specific photo with a purpose so it could appeal to anyone in general. The
resources that are required, if I were to choose this method for my graphic novel
would be a higher quality camera, as my camera phone wouldn’t look as
professional as a camera such as an SLR which are available to me at college to
rent, but the resources that are available to me at home would only be my camera
on my phone.

Overall I think that the quality of the work is not very good because, I’m just not very
good at drawing in general, the quality of the work that you can produce using this
method in general if you are good at drawing is very good because there are lots of
different styles that you can draw in which if done correctly can look very good,
overall my work isn’t that bad because you can still tell what the illustration is
supposed to be of. The speed that I can work at using this method is usually quite
slow even for the simpler drawings because I’m just not very good at it, the drawing
which I did took me about ¾ of an hour because I tried to make it look fairly good.
Similar existing products for illustration can be produced either by hand with a pencil
and a it of paper or you could do an illustration using different materials such as
paint or pastels or using digital methods such as graphic tablets etc….. The
audience for my product if it was done to a really high level would be people who
like illustrations or paintings of nature such as birds, so I think that the audience
would be people who are a lot older than myself. The resources that I needed for my
product is really only paper, a pencil and a fine liner which are all available through
college and I have paper and pencils at home I would only need to buy a fine liner
which I could buy from the art shop at college or my local stationary shop if I were to
do this work at home.

Overall I think that the overall quality of the work is quite high because you can still
tell what the image is supposed to be, but it has the cartoon effect on it, the overall
quality of the work you can produce using this method is typically quite high
depending on what image you choose in the first place, because its done on a
computer the quality will be high unless you change the settings of the threshold to
really low settings, then the image will not be very defined. Overall I think that you
can produce a really high quality piece of work with this method because it is a very
simple method yet the outcome still looks good. The speed of the work is very quick
as well it’s just basically finding out where the right effects are that you need to apply
and going back a few steps and adjusting a few things if you need to, I would say
that it is a very quick process considering the quality of outcome image. I think that
other products which are things such as comics will be produced in a similar way
either using more advanced techniques on the computer or are illustrated. The
audience for this kind of image would really be comic books fans because if they are
fans of comic books then this style of image will appeal instantly to them. The
resources that are required for this method will be Photoshop which is available to
me at college and at home.

Evaluation
The quality of the work, that can be produced by rotor scoping is all depending on
the time and effort you put into it really because if you put very little effort into and
only rotor scoped the main shapes then the image would look very basic but if you
put a lot of time and effort into it and picked all out the little details the image would
end up looking quite good, so overall I think in my opinion because I like the rotor
scoping style, that you can produce high quality pieces of work. I thought this
method was quite slow because it took me a few lesson to complete the rotor scope
above, I think it was mainly because I was completely new to this method and hadn’t
even heard of it before, but obviously as you become more familiar with the method
then the speed will increase as well. Products which are rotor scoped will be
produced most likely in the way that mine was produced on Photoshop or using a
more advanced piece of software for a more professional result . I think that the
audience for this product would be breaking bad fans as it is a rotor scope of the
main character, but there is so no set audience really for rotor scopes images really
art from fans of art an comics. The resources that are required for rotor scoping are
only really Photoshop and an image to rotor scope, which can be anything, really
both of them are available to me at home and at college.

Overall Evaluation
I think that the experiments went fairly well overall as none of them really caused by any big
problems apart from the illustration task which could of gone better but I'm not that good at
illustration. The style which I think would be suited most to my product would be unfortunately,
illustration because there is no story board for my product so I will have to create all the
images for the scenes by myself and I think that drawing them would be the easiest solution as
creating all the characters and scenes just on Photoshop would be to hard. The only styles
which I think just wouldn’t work is the comic book styles because I feel that it misses out little
bits of the images and still isn't very clear what the actual image is once you have applied the
effect. I think there is one major are in which I need to improve and that is the illustration
method, specifically any small detail to my drawings and just the illustration quality in general, I
think that I could only really improve this by just practicing lots of different drawings with
different styles etc… I also think that I could improve abit on the rotor scoping technique as
well as I could include more detail on my images.
