NG tube catheter tip normally resides inside the stomach or in the small intestine
past the pylorus. The number one complication involved with the use of NG tubal
feeding is incorrect placement. A nurse can inadvertently place an NG catheter into
the lungs, most notably when a patient has little to no gag reflex. As a result
testing for gastric contents, pH or performing a chest x ray are required once an
NG tube has been inserted. Another major complication when using NG tubal
feeding is aspiration within the lungs due to gastric contents enter the trachea and

The purpose of copyright laws in modern society, as confirmed by Darrell Panethiere
(2005) is to protect the creative rights of authors, performers, publishers,
broadcasters, and many others whose livelihoods depend upon the recognition of
rights (p. 1, par. 1) for their intellectual properties. In the contemporary business
world, most companies that sell products of some kind depend on other firms for the
design, production, and distribution of the product to make it available for selling.
Such sales are often either wholesale to retailers or retail to consumers. Violations of
the copyrights of intellectual property(IP), destroys the chain of commerce reflected
in these different industries; which also includes the loss of employment to workers
in each industry. In short, copyrightlaws protect the motivation of creativity, the
investment of commerce, plus the employment of a labor force.
WHY COPYRIGHT LAWS?
As recognized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO, n.d.), in the
Protection of Industrial Property (p. 4, par. 2) during the Paris Convention of 1883
as well as in the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works (p. 4, par. 2) during the
Berne Convention of 1886, both acknowledges the valuation developed and emerging
societies attribute to intellectual properties. Therefore, the protection of these values

Western Kentucky University and will instruct the Digital Graphics course. Greg
Hale, PE of Hale Technology returns to teach the REVIT elective, Josh Hostetler a
BIM technical specialist from Edge will instruct the Design Drawing II course and
Mauro Cringoli an architect from the local A+D firm,Smith Architecture will work
with our senior interior designers in Construction Documents. Interior designer
and architect, Kelly Jahn along with Josh Zeitler an interior designer and retail
merchandiser will join us in the spring to teach Design Drawing I, Retail Design
and the Special Projects studios. Each of these very talented professionals bring a
unique perspective to the practice of interior design and we are thrilled to have them

Both epidemiological and experimental studies have shown that indoor air pollution
has serious consequences for health, especially in women and children.
Conditions such as acute lower respiratory infection, particularly pneumonia in
children, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), lung cancer and cataract
are the major illnesses associated with or caused by indoor air pollution (World
Health Organization,
2002). Exposure to smoke from solid fuel increases the risk of COPD by
approximately threefold in adults, and the risk is much higher in women who do the
cooking (Kurmi et al, 2010). Worldwide, indoor air pollution accounts for 2 million
deaths annually
(United Nations Development Programme, 2009) and
2.7% of the loss of disability adjusted life years (DALYs;
World Health Organization, 2002). In developing countries, 44% of these deaths
occur in children, and 60% of the adult deaths occur in women (United
Nations Development Programme, 2009).

How did Stalin come to be the dominant leader of the Soviet Union?
It is undeniable that Stalin had a profound impact on the Soviet Union following
Lenin s death. His rise to power within the Soviet Union has provided historians with
a hotbed of political intrigue for many years. He was an opportunist, coming to
dominance by manipulating party politics and influential figures in the politburo to
eliminate his opposition by recognising and exploiting their weaknesses thus
becoming the dominant leader of the Soviet Union. He was severely underestimated
by other members of the Politburo about his potential within the party, leading to
missed opportunities to ally and stand against him a mistake that Stalin never made.
He gained support from the public by exploiting the idea of the Cult of Lenin in
1924 at Lenin s funeral, and then adopting this concept for himself, thereby likening
himself to Lenin; and, more importantly, gained support from other party members
by following the wishes of Lenin, for example, initially supporting the continuation
of the NEP and supporting the idea of factionalism. This essay will also argue that

The past few years however, groups have been trying to address the cultivation
techniques from another perspective; by genetically modifying grapevines.
Realizing the global significance of wine, scientists specializing in plant biology,
viticulture and enology from the major wine producing areas (USA, Australia,
France, Canada, Chile, Italy, Germany, Spain and South Africa) launched the
International Grape Genome Program (IGGP) in the beginning of the century. It
involves a cooperative genome sequence analysis of the species Vitis Vinifera, one of
the most common grapevine species.
The goal of the IGGP is to provide insights into the molecular biology of the species.
Using genetic tools, scientists are attempting to modify specific parts of the Vitis
genome to produce higher quality wine, disease resistant crops and provide a
database for producers to plant the right species with respect to the specific
environment of their production site. According to data collected in 2007, half of the
grape genome has been mapped, which includes more than 22800 nucleotide
sequences and the project is expected to grow even more the next years. The data has
been placed in the public databases of the National Center for Biotechnology
Information (NCBI).

about death, and also the United States statistics on dying. I believe that technology
advancements have been a curse and a blessing to make life shorter or longer. Motor
vehicles accidents, heart disease, and homicide are the top leading causes of deathin
today s society. (Kastenbaum, 2012). Technology advancements have contributed to
