Experience at IBM as a Business Analyst •Worked with customers, understanding and meeting customer business needs and assessing risks, driving accurate valued results. •Created performance level metrics and service levels requirements based on customer requirements gathered and extensive analysis. This included code development, business rule development, service level development, scripting and as a lead support analyst/team lead with a small team of developers. • Worked as a systems support analyst supporting the Alberta Transportation Infrastructure Management System. Assignments involved managing system wide integration issues with clients in a three tiered support environment. • Worked as an enterprise software developer and QA tester on a large scale Panorama Health Care Project for BC Health. On several projects such as the one mentioned I was the lead SQL specialist creating highly optimized queries and database optimization on large scale IBM database system’s. Alberta Agriculture 2004 to 2006 - Edmonton, AB Research Analyst • Designed and developed several web based systems for managing and reporting large sets of statistical data and created a series of automated of publications for the Economics division in Alberta Agriculture. • Performed database management and administration on large statistical database (over 900 tables in db2). • Developed several programs to create important data publishing sets used in major Agricultural publications including the ‘Weekly Grain’ and ‘Weekly Livestock’ reports among several others. IT Systems Corporation 1996 to 2004 - Edmonton, AB Senior Consultant and Software developer • Worked on multiple projects for Alberta Agriculture in the Information Technology Division on many diverse development projects. • Designed and developed multiple web based health surveillance systems for tracking disease, alerts, and trends of disease across government labs, private labs, and clinics used by the government of Alberta. • Designed and developed web based Rural Area Heating Allowance payment system for processing Gas and Propane Utility payments to Albertans across the province. • Designed and developed multiple Java based and Visual Basic based enterprise systems for processing large-scale emergency farm payment programs (such as Farm Income Assistance Program, Pasture Program etc…) for the government of Alberta across the province to farmers. • Designed and developed several online web applications for the world class Alberta Agriculture Ropin the Web site.
