MY MOST RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Supervisor for the quality hourly employees, providing coaching, targets,
goals and end of year APEX reviews.
• Work with customers on customer complaints by addressing RCCA,
issuing quality alerts, etc. Lowered DPPM by 60% for drive shafts and
valve plate areas (pistons already had a low DPPM rate).
• Conducted CPK analyses for piston shoes with SAG and flatness for
PPAP to meet customer requirements.
• Reduced scrap costs for drive shafts by 55%, valve plates by 27% and
pistons by 77%.
• Resolved an on-going problem with 9-tooth internal splines egging after
heat treat.
• Created & updated control plans for the drive shaft/valve plates/piston
areas. Have also created work instructions for same areas, contributing in
lower scrap costs.
• Led the project reducing OTD for PPAP’s by four days using the FMEA
metrix.
• Introduced quality controls in value streams, FAI’s, visual controls, and
other quality tools to reduce customer complaints and high scrap costs.
• Mapped and improved process flow for valve plate operators, improving
production time by 12% and contributing to the reduction of scrap costs.
• Created Quality Stars Committee comprised of fourteen operators.
