• Say it, build it, write it activity.
• Noughts and crosses (Pupils get into 2 groups. They
say a vocabulary word, if they spell it correctly they
can put their cross or nought in the place they choose)

• Building words -students are given letters to form a
vocabulary word from the ORT Stories.
• Flip words
• Dictating letters – They take out the letters that the
teacher dictates. They have to make a word with it.

• Rhyming cards -students produce sets of rhyming
cards to play among them.

always consistently.
• Through flashcards T shows students verbs in the
present (daily routines)
• Present your daily routines– Different students pick
the flashcards for the morning or afternoon (4). Then
they come to the front and say “In the morning, first
I…….(adverbs with present tense are mixed)
• Guess what I do game – Ss comes to the front and
mimes what he/she does. The other Ss say it out loud
using he and she.
• Fill in the verb in the space correctly.

with simple adverbs.
