A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

2. Nighteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell
Wiston was member of the ruling Party in London, i the nation of Oceania. Everywhere he goes he is
being watched through television screens, by the Party. The Party controlled everything in Oceania,
including the language. The party was forcing a language called Newspeak which was used to prevent
political rebellion by getting rid of all the worlds related to it. Thinking thoughts, which was called
Thoughtcrime, was illegal, and was the worst of all the crimes. Winston was frustrated by the
oppression. He completely hated the Party and he illegally bought a diary, where he illegally wrote
down his thoughts. He had also became fixated on a Party member named O Brein, who Winston
thought was a part of a mysterious group that works against the Party. Winston worked in the Ministry
of Truth. He altered historical records to fit the needs of the Party. He noticed a coworker staring at
him, and he worried that she will turn him in for his Thoughtcrime. Winston felt troubled by the Party
s control of history. The party claimed that the alleged leader of the BrotherHood, Goldstein, was the
most dangerous man alive, but it didn t make sense to Winston. Throughout London, Winston saw
posters showing a man looking down with the words BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU
everywhere he went. BigBrother was the face of the Party, but Winston never determined whether that
was true or not. Winston received a note from the dark haired girl that said I love you . She tells him

3. Dispersion of Different Silane Modified TiO2 Rutile...
Figure 3 shows dispersion of untreated, APS, FHES and TMSO treated TRNPs in different solvents
after centrifuging at 1000 rpm for 15 minutes. After centrifuging, if most of the particle settles down it
is an indicator of poor dispersion of the particle in the solvent. When the relatively large particles
settles down and small particles remains in the suspension it is an indicator of medium dispersion. If
all the particles remains in the solvent and no precipitation is found it is an indicator of very good
dispersion. From Figure 3 it is found that, untreated TiO2 is best dispersed in DMF and DMAc polar
aprotic solvent which is also supported from small Z average diameter and acceptable PDI value. For
untreated NP medium dispersion is found in DI water and ethanol and poor dispersion in TCB,
Toluene, DCM, choloroform, THF and isopropanol. As the untreated TRNP is hydrophilic in nature
the particles tends to disperse well in relatively polar solvent. APS treated titania nanoparticle renders
hydrophobic behavior to the surface [20] and essentially doesn t dissolve in DI water, DMF and
DMAC etc. highly polar solvent. The best solvent for APS modified titania is ethanol, isopropanol and
formic acid which is conspicuous both from digital image and small mean diameter value of the
nanoparticle. Due to the presence of NH2 functional group at the end of organic surface of APS
treated TRNPs the hydrogen bonding force is the dominant dispersion force. As a result, APS treated

No. Section 2037 is not applicable to the transfer.
Based on Section 2037, The value of the gross estate shall include the value of all property to the

In this case, Section 2037 does not apply because that grantor does not have a reversionary interest.
And also A can possess or enjoy the property without surviving the decedent.
What are included?
Since section 2037 does not apply in this case, and the decedent made the gift within three years of
death. Section 2035(a) invoked to cause inclusion in the gross estate.
Based on section 2035(a), If (1) the decedent made a transfer (by trust or otherwise) of an interest in
any property, or relinquished a power with respect to any property, during the 3 year period ending on
the date of the decedent s death, and (2) the value of such property would have been included in the
decedent s gross estate under section 2036, 2037,2038, or 2042 if such transferred interest or
relinquished power had been retained by the decedent on the date of his death. The value of the gross
estate shall include the value of any property (or interest therein) which would have been so included.
As a result, the value included in the decedent s estate is still the full property less the value of the
spouse s outstanding life estate.

5. Using The Hydrate Rather Than The Anhydrous Form Of...
Theophylline is a bronchodilator used in the treatment of asthma, it has a low molecular weight of
180.2. It is slightly acidic, when in a saturated solution of water and has a pKa of 8.81.
2. What are the implications of using the hydrate rather than the anhydrous form of theophylline (i) in
formulation (manufacture of the tablet) and (ii) in biopharmaceutics (dissolution)? 20%
I. Manufacturing theophylline formulations come with challenges for both the anhydrous and hydrate.
For the anhydrous form, a study showed that the wet granulation of theophylline anhydrous in
conjunction with microcrystalline cellulose, led to the formation of the monohydrate form of the drug.
This is significant because the monohydrate has slower dissolution than the anhydrous form of
theophylline. Thus the method of manufacture is highly important as the study showed directly
compressed pellets had better dissolution profiles. Also it shows the importance of the choice of
excipients as pellets manufactured via wet granulation in the absence of microcrystalline cellulose
showed similar release to that of directly anhydrous theophylline.
Theophylline monohydrate has a tendency to dehydrate during the drying process, it can do so at fairly
cool temperatures of around 60⁰C. So this makes temperature an important factor in the manufacture
of monohydrate as phase transition can occur.
II. A study conducted in 1992 found

She imagines that on the off chance that she can t see the individuals around her, then they can t see

indicated by Mama, when she was pulling Maggie out of the fire, her arms were adhering, her hair

why she is so apprehensive about individuals seeing her. Maggie s apparent compressed version of

religious ceremonies. Some of these tubes, propelled by the gunpowder, flew out of the fire and

Upholding Jocasta as the Tragic Hero
What makes a tragic hero? Aristotle lays down groundwork of a tragic hero as being essentially good.
They are neither villain nor saint because they have flaws. Several elememts are nevcesary to have a
tragic hero, they are the tragic flaw, the reversal, recognition, and hubris. These generally make up the
story of the tragic hero, and in the case of Jocasta, the wife and mother of Oedipus in Sophocles
Oedipus the King, she posses all three. Yet she is not truly considered a tragic hero, but a tragic
character by many. However seeing as it is the character of Jocasta that sets the story in motion, and

Because she thinks that she and Laius were able to avoid the prophecy, she gives little credence to
what the oracle says (Sophocles 1.1. 784 796). She respects the gods, but not the oracles. She tries to
lead Oedipus to adopt this standpoint as well, telling him of the prophecy told to Laius and herself,
and how that prophecy did not come to pass. After telling Oedipus that he need not worry about the
words of a prophet she tells him, Whatever the god needs and seeks he ll bring to light himself, with
ease. (Sophocles line 799 800). Later she goes to Apollo s temple and asks for his guidance, saying
that they are in the grip of fear, beseeching his help for Oedipus and saying, I come with prayers and
offerings...I beg you, cleanse us, set us free of defilement! (Sophocles line 1009 1010). She does not
yet realize that the defilement cannot be cleansed.
Hubris
Her only flaw is disregard for the prophets; she never disregards the gods themselves. Her disbelief in
them is sound, and she maintains her belief in the gods. In this way it is hubris, her overwhelming
pride or belief that she thwarted the earlier prophecy. It is still this flaw which is a part of her tragic
downfall.
The Reversal
Peripetia, or the reversal, is another element of the tragic hero. Such as when an action backfires on
the person, much the way that abandoning Oedipus

Beowulf, an epic poem that has captured everyone s attention since the 8th century until now. What do
you think a real hero should have, superpowers? Not all heroes can fly or have invisibility powers. A
hero can be anyone that is brave enough to confront evil. The famous poem ¨Beowulf¨ is a great
example of the characteristics a real hero should have. Beowulf fights against giant beasts to protect
the Deans from getting murdered , along with taking money from a furious dragon to leave it as

another quality a hero should have by volunteering to go kill Grendel s mother. He demonstrates his
act of duty when he track down Grendel s mother. During the battle against Grendel s mother,
Beowulf notices a sword in Grendel s mother treasure. Then he saw it hanging on the wall, a heavy
Sword, hammered by giants, strong And blessed with their magic, the best of all weapons ( Beowulf:

Grendel s mother thank to his faith. After Beowulf defeated Grendel s mother, he took Grendel s head

Hence no U.S. Gulf policy will satisfy everyone in every respect. That makes it all the more essential
that any adjustment in U.S. policy toward Iraq and Iran be preceded by extensive consultations with
friendly Gulf leaders. Inadequate dialogue and unilateral action have caused some insecurity in the
region and weakened trust in U.S. steadfastness.
When the British withdrew from the Persian Gulf in 1971, the United States became the principal
foreign power in the region. For almost three decades it has pursued the goal of preserving regional
stability, using a variety of means to that end, particularly regarding the northern Gulf powers of Iraq
and Iran.
At first the United States relied on Iran as its chief regional proxy, supporting the shah s regime in the
hope that it would be a source of stability. This policy collapsed in 1979 with the Iranian Revolution,
when Iran switched from staunch ally to implacable foe. During the 1980s, the United States strove to
maintain a de facto balance of power between Iraq and Iran so that neither would be able to achieve a
regional hegemony that might threaten American interests. The United States provided some help to
Iraq during the Iran Iraq War of 1980 88, moved in other ways to counter the spread of Iranian backed
Islamic militancy, and provided with Israeli encouragement some help to Iran,

17. Why It s Dangerous To Label People Summary

Mrs. Buehler
ENG 101
11 Sept. 2017
Labels in Society: Harmful or Helpful? If one were to think about a label, they might think of
something you would find on a can of food or an item of clothing. Labels are to be used used to
categorize inanimate objects, not humans. Humans are complex beings who are free to their own
beliefs, ideas, and morals so it is nonsense to require categories to be forced in. Labels in society range
from gender, sexuality, religion, and counting. In her article Society s Labels, Audrey Arbogast states
that We categorize people as soon as we see them. Our world is obsessed with labels because we find
it difficult to comprehend things that don t fit into the pre made boxes that society has provided us

The article is titled Why It s Dangerous to Label People, and it is written by Professor Adam Alter.
Alter explains that labels such as race have no biological impact on society but it is still used to judge
one s financial, political and social status. Adam Alter makes the claim, Categorical labeling is a tool
that humans use to resolve the impossible complexity of the environments we grapple to perceive.
Like so many human faculties, it s adaptive and miraculous, but it also contributes to some of the
deepest problems that face our species It is understandable why it is so much easier to use labels for
people but past that level of simplicity lies the emotional stability of those who are phased by social
labels everyday. Labels are more extensive than just sexuality and gender. There are categories and
labels that have to do with race. Labels could be part of the reason racial division is so strong in this
country. Imagine going through everyday life so uncomfortable because people may be judging you
by the color of your skin. Sure, it is impossible to change race but society should be able to go without
constantly separating people by race. Humans all bleed red so it is extremely unnecessary to label by
color. Another article from PsychologyToday.com, written by a different professor by the name of
Nathaniel Lambert, Ph.D. goes into the depths of the consequences of stereotypes and

I would review our corporate strategy and look at the progress of achieving our objectives. I would
assign a team to analyze our current processes and evaluate them in order to discover areas that are
doing well and areas that require improvement. We could then decide how to solve these problems
while also continuing to reach our objectives. I would employ constraint management and the theory
of constraints in order to identify factors that are limiting our systems performance and are restricting
output. The theory of constraints would be utilized to increase our profits by improving and speeding
up workflow. A team would be assembled to manage constraints and adjust the processes to be less
constrained with shorter setup times. The Drum buffer rope system can help regulate and control flow
so production does not get backed up and the manufacture of our soup and cracker products can run
more efficiently. Since we are adding new soups, we need to make product mix decisions such as how
many cans of each soup should be produced at any given time. The contribution margin, or the amount
each product contributes to profits and overhead, is important to making product mix decisions. The
cash cow products should be favored and run more often in order to increase profits. Rebalancing the
assembly line is necessary because we have a new product, chicken noodle soup, so we need to plan
our schedules to include this new product and its setup times, cost, number sold and

Good and Faithful Servant
In the book of Matthew Jesus distributes talents to three servants. One servant received five talents,
one two, and the other one. Each servant was expected to reap according to what they had been given;
therefore, servant one was to reap five, servant two, two, and servant three, one. However, at the end
of the parable, only servant one and two had fulfilled their task. Servant three did not. Just as Jesus
had given his servants a task, I will be given tasks, much like this assignment, to complete under the
Christian Liberal Arts Curriculum. It is my job to be as servant one and two were to fulfill my tasks
that are given. With that in mind, I shall achieve all of my vocational and avocational desires by
valuing what the Christian Liberal Arts Curriculum has to offer faith, freedom, and education. One of
the key core values of the Christian Liberal Arts Curriculum is faith. It is incorporated into every
aspect of the experience, yet it is not forced upon me. I am allowed to believe and explore the different

22. Relativity Essay
Relativity is a theory in physics that can be basically implies that space and time are one in the same.
This is absolutely counterintuitive to classical physics which has the two as completely different
entities. Relativity can be separated into two basic concepts: Special and General Relativity. Within
Relativity the fundamental concept above all else is that space and time are intertwined with each
other in the universe as a fabric called space time. Simply put, Special Relativity deals with the laws
of Physics when observers are all moving uniformly relative to each other while General Relativity
expands on the idea to include gravitation and acceleration. (Lieber, Lillian R. The Einstein Theory of

However this is not the same for the beam of light fired from the laser pointer. This is because light is
an electromagnetic wave that is independent of the motion of its starting point. It will always travel at
299,792,458 m/s because light s speed only depends on the medium through which it travels and the
motion of the object it is created from is completely irrelevant. (Lieber, Lillian R. The Einstein Theory
of Relativity. Philadelphia: Paul Dry, 2008. Print. p. 4 37)( Einstein, Albert, and Robert W. Lawson.
Relativity; the Special and General Theory,. New York: H. Holt and, 1920. 21 25. Print.)
This postulate developed by Einstein has what some would call key problems and would cause uproar
in conventional thinking. Things such as time now become variables when original thinking classified
it as an unchanging constant. Just thinking about this prospect can be mind boggling. Time is
something that everyone takes for granted as being a constant flow, just ticking away, and perpetual.
But, in fact, it is something that depends entirely on space time. How do we know that time is
relative? Imagine a different kind of clock. This clock is unique because instead of a hand ticking
away it is actually a beam of light bouncing between two mirrors. This would seem the most logical
choice of an accurate clock because light is a constant right? As we observe the clock it ticks off at

23. Essay On Death Of Romeo And Juliet
The tragic play Romeo and Juliet was written by William Shakespeare during the late 1500 s. The play
was originally born in England and finally published in 1597. The tragic play takes place in the
beautiful Italian cities of Verona and Mantua. Two high born families, the Capulets and Montagues,
and entangled in a spiteful feud. This resentful feud will result in the tragic death of two young lovers
Romeo and Juliet. Romeo who is from the Montague family and Juliet who is from the Capulet family
will fall in love with each other, and keep their love a secret. The aggrieved family feud will be the
one to blame for the early death of Romeo and Juliet. The hatred the two families had for one another
is what caused the unfortunate death of Romeo and Juliet. To hate and to hold onto anger is like
drinking poison and expecting the other person to suffer. The hate the two families had for each other
was toxic. Hatred is something that can destroy so much, and the hatred between the rivaling families
is what executed Romeo and Juliet. Forcing Romeo and Juliet to keep their love in the dark, pushed
the young lovers over the edge. That hatred was portrayed when Tybalt, a Capulet, said What. Drawn

Torture is an action of severe physical or mental pain, or suffering for a purpose, such as extraction of
information, confessions, or for punishments. In the Middle Ages torture was used for suffering and to
punish captured enemies. It involved the usage of instruments to force evidence from witnesses,
criminals, and slaves and was only committed by a public official or another person with similar
authority. In ancient Greece and Rome, torture was lawfully used, it was usually used on slaves to
extract information or confessions. Later, in early medieval Europe, torture was used as an ancient test
of guilt or innocence by subjection of the person who was accused to extreme pain (Rodley 1).
Survival was taken as a proof of innocence, the suspect s response to pain established guilt or
innocence. But there were many methods used to torture people. In medieval times punishments were
often for crimes. The people who tortured witnesses, criminals, and slaves, used methods like the rack,

27. The Commercialization Of Sport At The United States...
The Commercialization of Sport According to Brad Austin (2015), the US university programs on
athletics has created tangible links between the authorities of the institution and the alumni group in
two ways. One is legitimizing and codifying the alumni interest in men s and women s sports. To do
this, they even have provided alumni representatives in the athletic governing body. The second one, is
the coordination of various alumni events with the yearly homecoming events in the universities of the
US. It has been found that the American leaders used to utilize these homecoming events to rejuvenate
the spirit and affinity among the people of the country during the decades of the early twentieth
century. Thus, the universities were used to get affected by this political interest. This political interest
enhanced the initial steps towards commercialization of homecoming. Janet Harvey (2000) has
pointed out that in the last two decades the American homecoming events have witnessed a cultural
transformation towards commercialization. These transformations have long term impact on its
audience. The entertainment packages are now much more an issue of concerns in the mainstream
media than the actual sports event. The popularity has been brought to a great extent by this hip hop
culture through commercialization. Contemporary cultural analysts are mostly concerned about
analysing the impact of globalisation on the localised events like homecoming game tailgate. The

The worst thing for a person to experience during their grieving process, is interaction with a person
who lacks empathy for their situation. According to Cummins, a grieving individual expects people
close to them to have the ability to offer comfort and understanding during a difficult time, such as the
death of a loved one. It is often not discovered until tragedy strikes that those who are considered
close to the bereaved, are not able to offer the comfort they are seeking. Individuals who show
avoidance, and even hostility towards a person grieving can be known to lack empathy. Experiencing
this type of interaction with someone considered a close friend can cause resentment in the

Grainger explains that it is very important to take care of our basic needs during the grieving process,
and during this time it is perfectly acceptable, even necessary, to put our needs above the needs of
others (Grainger, 1990). Although we do not think of human suffering as beneficial, especially while
in the midst of it, research concludes otherwise. Hurst suggests that individuals can learn important
life lessons as a result of their suffering. The first benefit we can learn when suffering from loss is that
life is precious. Although we may wish we would have said things or did things in the past prior to
losing a loved one, knowing the feeling of regret can push us to do better, and to be better. We can take
the suffering and make something positive out of it, and learn from our mistakes (Hurst, 2015).
Knowing that life is precious, experiencing grief makes us realize that we need to always let people
know how we feel, and never let anything go unsaid. Hurst states, Whether you are angry at the person
that you love, have unresolved issues, need their forgiveness or forget to tell them exactly how much
you love them make sure you say it today. You never know when you may lose the opportunity to do
so (Hurst, 2015). We tend to get caught up in life, and forget to connect with those who are the most
important to us. We even need to mend relationships that have been damaged, often over things that
are not as important as the friendship

Regardless of which option you select, the length and timing of the campaign will be determined by

direction of the art director. Once the ad is completed and proofed, it goes back to the client for final

electronically, to their production department.
The double page ad appears in the December edition of the magazine.
As shown in the example above, there are a lot of moving parts to producing a simple ad. With so
many moving parts, there are a number of opportunities for things to go wrong or fall behind schedule,
this is why proper planning and scheduling, along with constant follow up with each of the people
involved in the process, is critical to the success of any advertising campaign.

type of campaign you are running and the media you select. As we saw in the previous section, service
providers may include:

that the mass arrests of Poles were too much for the capacity of local prisons. Eventually, it became
the largest death camp of the Holocaust. Auschwitz covered about 40 square miles and had more than
40 sub camps within a several hundreds kilometer radius. The camp consisted of 22 prewar brick

Should climbers be entitled to rescue services on a mountain? When people are climbing mountains
such as Mount Everest or Mount Rainier they know what kind of danger they are placing themselves
in. Many people think that because the services exist they can abuse it and call for help at any time.
Even though these services exist they should only be used in a crisis, because more people than one
climber are being put at risk. As the mountains grow in popularity more people want to travel to them.
Many companies are going in debt because of climbers who think they know what they are doing
when they do not. Furthermore, the reason some people have for needing rescued are ridiculous. These
are three main topics as to why climbers should not be entitled to a rescue. To start off, people who
climb places such as Mount Everest and Mount Rainier put more than themselves at risk. Many will
argue that this is the reason rescue services exist. Although that is true, they were created for crisis
situations. For example, in Source 3 a park ranger on Mount ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

In defining one s identity, many different factors are considered; such as one s nationality,
characteristic, personality, ability, experience, religion, and etc. Especially for those people who live in
America, so called country of immigration, has much more complicated identities than those Asian
country people where mixed people are rarely noticed. Thinking about the concept of identity, some

38. Persuasive Speech On Dress Code
It s that time of the year again, back to school. As much as I ll miss my 15 year old daughter, I am so
glad that we are back in session, that is unless we re talking about the Dress Code Blues. It is the third
day of school today. My daughter casually informed us that she has already seen ten students get dress
coded . Now, the paraprofessional in me knows that you have to start the school year off strong. You
enforce the rules early, and can relax a little once they are established and being followed. That s how
it works in so many places, from group homes to high schools.
Curiously thought, I asked my daughter what the ratio was, boys versus girls, when it came to students
being caught violating the school policy. In response, she laughed out loud and waved me off as if the
question had no validity whatsoever. I questioned her laughter, and she told me point blank, In my
entire school career, 11 years so far, I have only ever saw one boy get in trouble for what he was
wearing, and that shirt had the F Word on it .
As we discussed the policy, and what was fair and unfair , it occurred to me that this has always been
the case when it comes to dress code and dress code enforcement. Girls are the target. Girls bear the
burden of what s appropriate and what is inappropriate, but why?
The hands down most common argument I have seen thrown around is that girls who break the dress
code essentially instigate the boys in the classroom. I ve seen it posted time after time, boys can t
control their hormones or boys will be boys or they only think with what s in their pants . As a father, I
m perplexed by this, as a father of a teenage girl I am appalled by the excuse making.
Are we saying that boys can not be taught common decency, and that they simply can not stop
themselves from giving into their own urges and desires?
Should we be implying that girls don t deal with arousal issues at that age?
Is it even safe to imply that it s somehow the responsibility of teenage girls not to incite the boys? Isn t
that paramount to blaming the victim?
Do you know that an overwhelming majority of dress code rules are specifically targeted to girls?
Read them from time to time...

39. Statement Of Purpose For Cryptography
An algorithm that resists brute force will never become obsolete, no matter how powerful code
breaking computers get. It would become a world standard overnight. This quote from Dan Brown s
Digital Fortress caught my imagination in high school, and from that point onwards, I knew that this is
what I wanted to do. I wanted to become a research scientist, who would decipher such algorithms,
even more so break a cipher claimed to be perfect. Since then I have been studying cryptography,
which led to a tendency of seeing patterns and codes in my daily activities. Routine activities such as
reading a letter or looking at a sign, trigger connections in my mind. I have always enjoyed reading
theorems and understanding their proofs. My interest in cryptography further burgeoned since every
protocol, or algorithm ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
UCSD is the school of my choice as I find that the graduate program is fully suited to my interests and
ambitions. I have always admired Dr. Mihir Bellare s work on designing protocols, and efficient
encryption schemes, which gave me a deep insight in the field of searchable encryption. It would be a
privilege to work under him and contribute to the field under his tutelage. Driven by my interest in
Cryptography, I will be delighted to join the Security and Cryptography group at UCSD and play an
active role in their research. Besides research I also have an inclination towards teaching, since
interpersonal communication and clarity of speech are my forte. Having had the experience of tutoring
students online on the InstaEDU forum, working as a Teaching Assistant would come naturally to me.
Adding up my research interests, penchant for teaching, and interest in ongoing projects, I strongly
believe that UCSD would be the ideal platform to kick start my career in

40. The Use Of Nonverbal Mimicry For A Therapist
The use of nonverbal mimicry will help establish rapport in fact it will increase the amount of
information provided by the client (Abbe Brandon, 2013). There is neurological proof that the brain
will elicit a automatic response if someone is deemed trustworthy changing an individuals feelings,
this is influenced by the way people look and act (Adolphs, 2002). Another factor that influences
rapport for a therapist is knowing the roles of eclecticism and pluralism, a therapist needs to know
which viewpoint is going to be best for a client, Therapist have been using a more eclectic and
integrative approach to therapy as a whole for year. Ggenerally this is a empathic method and empathy
is seen as a important factor in a therapeutic alliance, as proven by neuroscience. empathy helps
expand a patients feelings, thoughts, sensations and possible actions, this is a client and person centred
approach to rapport (Decety Ickes, 2011). However, with a pluralistic approach there are lots of
different ways of doing things, as well as asking the patient what they think. In the end therapist and
patient work together to ascertain what is the best approach in the therapy session, so uses a almost
infinite diversity of approaches to therapy, (Kihlstrom, 2003), this in theory would only increase
rapport. But only potentially work if you had good rapport in the first place. A pluralistic approach
appears to have a huge range in diversity of therapies, therefore; surely it would require

41. The Challenge Of The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge was one of those amazing marketing strategies you see once in a blue
moon. In the dead heat of summer here comes a challenge to dump ice and water over your head for a
worthy cause. The intent of the challenge was to bring awareness to ALS and to raise money. Most
people donated without knowing what ALS stands for, people could have donated to other causes than
ALS, and even though the marketing was great I disagree with The Challenge. For starters, the hype
of the Ice Bucket Challenge had people accepting to do the challenge with no real concept of what
ALS was. The ALS Association says Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as Lou
Gehrig s Disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and
the spinal cord. After going through all of my news feeds on Facebook no one ever mentioned this. I
actually had to research ALS to find out what it meant. I found that a lot of people were just doing The
Challenge to either fit in, or to join in the fad that was created. Before doing ... Show more content on

What better time to soak yourself with ice cold water than in the middle of summer when you have
kids home from school and people taking it easy or on vacation. This challenge was easy to get the
entire family involved and have some fun with it. It was hot and humid outside and this was a great
way to not only cool off, but to donate to a worthy cause. The rules are simple; according to the article
called 7 Marketing lessons from the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Accept the challenge and get drenched
in ice water or donate to ALS. The challenger picks who gets challenged next. The three and four
word hashtags (#IceBucketChallenge #ALSIceBucketChallenge) made it easy to remember and share.
This also made it very easy for people to post their videos on social media sites and get more people

42. Dementia Issues
Older people are said to be a vulnerable group in society and it is notable that those with dementia are
at a significant increase torisk of abuse, (see Manthorpe, et al 2005). The author of this paper spent her
placement in an adult social work team for a local authority, for people age 65 years and over. It soon
became apparent that different types of dementia seemed to permeate the caseload. The cases were
initially referred to social services due to challenges faced by a person to maintain daily living tasks
after a fall and hospital admission for example. Fundamentally, the majority of cases were people with
a form of dementia, and each case was as complicated as the next. In order to highlight not only the
physical but the emotional ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Dementia is a term used for a variety of symptoms caused when brain cells stop working correctly
with a cognitive functioning decline, (Alzheimer s disease International, 2012). Some types of
dementia include; Alzheimer s disease, Vascular dementia, frontal temporal dementia and Parkinson s
disease and Lewy body dementia, (Alzheimer s research, UK; Banerjee et al, 2007; Weiner Lipton
2009). One in three people who die after the age of 65 are found to have dementia, and of those, two
in three are female, (Department of Health, DoH, 2015). Some of the symptoms associated with
dementia include, increased difficulties in communication, action and response, changes in awareness,
attention and judgment, and visual spatial difficulties, (Alzheimer s research, UK, 2017). Data
collection states that dementia is expected to increase to 131.5 million worldwide by 2050 from the
current 46.8 million, (Alzheimer s Disease International, 2015). Furthermore, the DoH, (2015), report
that in the UK there are currently 850,000 over the age of 65 and a further 45,000 under the age of 65
living with dementia, and 69% of all people living in care homes have dementia. Elder abuse is
defined as a single, or repeated act, or lack of appropriate action, occurring within any

43. Wrestlecade Case Study
As the date grew closer, both myself and Steve, as well as the fans voicing their opinion on
WrestleCade s home website, Facebook, and Twitter accounts were thoroughly excited to see Justin
possibly renew some old rivalries from his extreme days, given his history with both Dreamer and
C.W. In the weeks immediately preceding the event, Justin (P.J. Polaco in his everyday life outside of
the ring) had been dealt some difficult twists in the road to say the least, as his wonderful wife, Jill
was diagnosed with cancer. This would be a tough enough blow for any family to take, much less one
who has their personal life for the most part seen at any curve in the road by millions of dedicated
wrestling fans on a daily basis across the internet. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

44. Similarities Between Edith Wharton And Booker T Washington
Social Realism Social realism was a movement following the civil war where artists and writers would
focus and point out the conditions of the middle to lower working class. Unlike Regional realism,
social realism draws attention to the social structures and conditions that the majority of the
population was currently experiencing. Edith Wharton and Booker T Washington where two important
writers who wrote about their own experiences and of others to demonstrate the new social structure
changes at this time. The short story The Other Two by Edith Wharton is an excellent representation of
gender relation transformations and the nature of marriage at the turn of the century. In the beginning
of the story, we are introduced to a woman named Alice, whom has been divorced 2 times and is
currently on her 3rd marriage with a man named Mr. Waythorn. Mr. Waythorn is happy with his new
wife and is not bothered by the fact that she has already been married twice. Certain situations arise so
that Mr. Waythorn bumps into both of Alice s previous husbands. He is uncomfortable meeting them
at first however; he begins to have a new understanding of his wife. When Waythorn meets Mr.
Haskett, one of Alice s ex s, he becomes disturbed that he is kind and tender person who seems to
show a real gentleness to his daughter. He had never seen her more ... Show more content on

Though many changes were hard after becoming a freed man, one positive change was the freedom to
attend school. When work got in the way, his resilient mother came to the rescue and fixed it so he
could go to night class. I thought it was funny how he turned the clock 30 minutes fast so he could
leave work early to arrive at school on time. I got the idea that way for me to reach the school on time
was to move the clock hands from half past eight up to the nine o clock mark (Washington, 686). I was
curious though if Booker ever revisited his past owner in his later
