The internship at the Goldring Center for Culinary Medicine provided experiences assisting students in classes, leading discussions on nutrition, helping test recipes, and doing community outreach. The intern faced challenges with time management, cultural differences, and socioeconomic issues. She learned how to connect with students without coming across as arrogant, about culinary medicine and nutrition, and improved her cooking skills. Her contributions included increasing student enrollment, assisting with classes and recipes, and teaching lessons. She hopes to continue volunteering, participate in a culinary medicine medical school rotation, and pursue dietitian and personal training certifications.
