Globalization has occurred across several domains: Social - Western culture such as food and slang has diffused globally through companies like McDonald's. Political - Political unrest and issues have negatively impacted globalization, sometimes through outright war but also smaller forms of conflict like terrorism which can spark further political tensions across continents. Technological - Advancements like the internet have made it much easier to connect and share information worldwide, accelerating cultural diffusion. The spread of technologies like laptops, smartphones, and internet access allows news and ideas to spread more rapidly. Economic - Initiatives like the Marshall Plan helped rebuild European economies while stimulating the US, building alliances and connecting the world economy through free trade agreements.

2. Social
Cultural diffusion has
occurred all around the
world, especially
concerning western
culture. An example,
shown here, is western
food being brought all
around the world, as far
as the middle east.
Mcdonalds is now a
worldwide name,
bringing Americanized
food to everyone.
Examples like this are
everywhere, from food to
slang to toys.

3. Political
Politics has had a huge
effect on globalism, a
large part of it negative.
When issues arise, war
can break out.
Sometimes this happens
in a smaller, more
undetected form, such as
terrorism. When this
occurs, political warfare
ensues. From the recent
political unrest in the
middle east, there have
been many acts of
terrorism. This is an
example of political
globalization, with
political unrest affecting
multiple continents.

4. Religious
Christianity has had a
huge part in many wars
of the 20th century,
especially the cold war.
It being a point for both
sides of the iron curtain,
it was both part of the
communist and anti-
communist agenda.

5. Intellectual
Western values have
diffused gradually into
the East, as seen in the
photo to the right.
Women are no longer
extremely oppressed,
confined to doing only
things meant for
females. Western sports
such as skateboarding
have gone there through
cultural diffusion, and
are now something that
anyone can enjoy.

6. Technological
Technological
advancements, such as
the internet, have made
it much easier to connect
to people around the
world, and stay
informed. With tools
such as the laptop, cell
phone data, and internet
being readily available in
almost every place,
information spreads
much more rapidly than
it did before. The idea of
waiting to find out the
news in another area is
something of the past,
and has in turn sped up
cultural diffusion
greatly.

7. Economic
The Marshall Plan was a
huge part of
globalization, helping to
rebuild the economy all
across Europe, while
stimulating the economy
in the US. With the US
prospering and
Economy building in
Europe, alliances were
built. This made it so
many countries were at
peace with each other,
and so globalization
occurred. With Free
Trade Agreements being
established, the
economy throughout the
world was connected.
