Sugar is a highly concentrated in sugar cane sugar beets. Sugar is mainly used to sweeten food
and to prevent micro organisms from growing and spoiling food. Salt is a mineral composed of
sodium chloride. Its a crystallized mineral from rock salt and halite. Salts main usage is for
cooking,cleaning, and many health uses. While doing this project we discovered that 99.95 % of
sugar is pure sucrose. Although salt is used for cooking it is also used for cleaning. The ocean has
35grams of salt per liter which equals salinity of 3.5% We started this project to see the crystal

with the clothespin so the stick does not move. Then you put it on the side and let it sit where it

RESULTS:
The end result of our project was that the salt formed a crystal before sugar did. On day seven the
crystal formation was 2 ВЅ inches for salt. For sugar it took ten days until it reached 2 ВЅ inches.
Although the crystals did not form on the stick because we messed up it formed around the
container therefore that is how we measured the growth.

For many decades now, many brave men and women have joined the military in order to serve the
country and protect the rights that are entitled to the American populace. However, when they
return back to the states, some soldiers are not able to the cope between the drastic differences
between military life and civilian life; as a result, they can be homeless veterans living on the
streets. The average citizens consider these veterans as just bums and consider them through the
mindset of out of sight, out of mind . Meanwhile, municipalities are acting no better as they enact
rules that discriminate against the homeless, including laws prohibiting public loitering,
panhandling, and squatting. It appears that the public and the government clearly do not do much
in terms of helping those that may need assistance, especially former soldiers that fought to protect
them. While there are several factors that can affect servicemen into becoming homeless, the
knowledge of the factors can be utilized appropriately by the citizens and officials to properly treat
these heroes and return them to housed, civilized lives instead of just shunning them. Back in 2007,

Book Review Poetry is a form of art that serves the purpose to express the writer s opinions, and
also combat oppressive forces without the use of any physical force. These writers can relate to the
expression by the playwright and novelist Edward Bulwer Lytton in the play Cardinal Richelieu,
The pen is mightier than the sword (BBC); this expression serves as a metaphor in its own right
as the nature describes the effect of words to provide a stronger impact on the intended audience
than any kind of violence would. This term ties in perfectly with the ideas of Chicanx; the
Chicanx perspective of life is oppression and the dangers of racial tensions and manners to
dethrone those who impose that on others. They have long fought against the unfair forces that
have come against them, and have been involved in many violent forms of protest. With Cesar
Chavez becoming more invested in the peaceful form of protesting to gain trust and momentum
in the campaigns they were in, more and more writers began to express their feelings and place
their own two cents into the mixture of ideas. Often long stories are made in effort to express a
personal form of how life is changing and growing fears are turning into, however some writers
