1) Organization : Reliance Industries Limited, Jamnagar.
(Refinery Division)
Designation : Shift field enginner.
Experience : From March-2011 to till date.
The Reliance group is the largest private sector organization in India. The Reliance is the
world’s largest grass root refinery.
I am working in Sulphur recovery unit, amine regeneration unit and waste water
stripping unit as a Shift Field Engineer and independently taking charge as a Panel
operator in ARU/WWSU. And Independently taking charge in ARU,SRU as shift field
engineer.

Sulphur Recovery unit + Amine Regenerator unit + Sour gas absorber + Sour water
stripping Unit + Acid Gas Flare as shift field Engineer with 4.5 years of experience
including start up, shutdown activity and steady state operations.
• Sulphur recovery / cold bed adsorption (Black & Veatch Pritchard, USA)
Three trains having capacity of 675 TPD with a Clause air blower, a reaction furnace
having 1300 0
C temperature, integrated steam generators, Clause reactor, two CBA
WORK EXPERIENCE
UNIT KNOWLEDGE
reactors, five sulphur seal legs, an incinerator having 120 meter stack and a sulphur pit
with two eductors.
Participated in Catalyst replacement jobs of Claus and CBA Reactors during Shutdowns.
• Amine regenerator/treater (UOP)
Four trains having capacity of 604 m3
/ hr with rich amine flash drum, rich-lean amine
heat exchanger, stripper, two reboilers, reflux receiver and fin fan condensers /
coolers
• Sour gas treater / sweetener/absorber (UOP)
Two trains having capacity of 17292 kg/hr with one sour fuel gas cooler and two
knockout drums
• Sour water stripping unit (UOP)
Four trains having capacity of 220 m3
/hr with one degassing drum, three stripped-sour
water heat exchangers, stripper, one reboiler and recirculating water fin fan coolers
• Amipur (Eco-Tech)
For removal of HSS
• Acid gas flare
Total two 150 meter flare stacks having capacity of 147206 Kg/hr with velocity seal
having a knockout drum and liquid seal drum.
• Sulphur granulation (Procor, Canada)
Two trains having capacity of 1013 TPD with a granulator, a scrubber, fines
separator, six truck loading hoppers having 225 tones capacity.
• Maintain process parameter, sample schedule, loop checking, Logic checking and
handling upstream /downstream disturbance emergency.
Preparation of equipments which handover to maintenance like blind list, HOTO(hand
over takeover), mark up P & ID, Work clearance document ets.
• Strict follow up of the safety and environmental rules.
• Strict control of unsafe conditions and unsafe acts.
• Hazard identification and risk assessment before the job
• Prepared Risk assessment for various activity routine and non-routine jobs.
• Job planning and execution of preparation.
• Monitoring and operation of equipments for safe and efficient operations.
• Co-ordination of activities with mechanical, instrumentation and electrical
department with various plant related communication.
• Knowledge of local panel operation like BMS (burner management system) for
(blower, furnace, and incinerator start up and shut down.
• Prepare & Issue work permits (Hot Work, Line Breaking, Confined Space Entry,
Work to Start etc) for maintenance and erection work.
• Develop and review standard operating procedure, Operating manuals, Risks
assessment sheets and do job cycle check of each procedure.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Strictly compliance to all PSM(Process safety management) element, and Working as plant
ERCP((emergency response and control planning)co-ordination looking all ERCP activities
like Prepared mock drill report, dry drill report.
• Handling of emergencies like fire, leakage, etc.
• Training attended for first-aid:health, safety, environment and fire: personal protective
equipment, safe chemical handling, work permit system, major emergency plan, fire
extinguishing, breathing apparatus
• Mock drills carried out for fire, toxic gas release and air-raid.
• Worked for mega expansion project for maximizing plant capacity.
