2. GESTATIONAL DIABETES MELLITUS(GDM) is defined as "carbohydrate
intolerance with the first recognition or onset during pregnancy" GDM is
diabetes diagnosis for the first time during pregnancy. Gestational diabetes
effects how the cells use sugar (glucose). Gestational diabetes causes high
blood sugar due to which both women and child gets affected. Women with
gestational diabetes are at subsequent risk of getting type 2 diabetes.
In women with gestational diabetes blood sugar usually returns normal soon
after delivery. Women's with GDM needs to be tested for changes in blood

Causes of GDM

exercises.2-3 Days per week 20 -30 minutes.
