The Gerson Diet is an alternative cancer treatment developed by Max Gerson that involves consuming organic foods and juices while avoiding animal fats and proteins. The document summarizes a case study of 6 patients with metastatic cancer who followed the Gerson Diet and experienced improvements physically and psychologically, though more scientific evidence is still needed. It also provides details on the recommended foods, menus, and nutrient analysis of the diet which is low in protein and fat but very high in vitamins and fiber. Following the strict diet precisely would be difficult and expensive for patients.

Many patients with metastatic cancer are using the
Gerson therapy. In a specific case 6 people were
evaluated, all 6 had poor prognosis. Using the Gerson
diet the patients showed an improvement physically and
psychologically. However, more scientific attention is
needed on the Gerson diet to have more evidence it
works instead of anecdotes.

7. Based on the menu analysis the diet is a little low in protein, fats, and calcium but very high in fiber. This diet
would be difficult to follow because it requires a patient to drink several glasses of juice, no meats and it recommend no
water. Based on the required foods the diet is very expensive. This diet could be recommended if protein and fats were
increased. The body must have those to function properly.
