Gerd Leonhard presented on the future of radio. He discussed how radio now faces competition from many sides, such as social networks, mobile music apps, and satellite radio. However, radio remains valuable for its ability to filter choices for listeners and provide trusted, curated content. Leonhard argued that for radio to survive, it must embrace the internet by allowing time-shifting, sharing, and community features on digital platforms. The future of radio lies in fully integrating delivery across networks and meeting the expectations of the new "net generation" of listeners.

The Future Of Media And Content Gerd Leonhard at TIME 08 IstanbulGerd Leonhard
My presentation at the 2008 TIME conference in Istanbul, Turkey (Dec 2, 08): The Future of Content and Media. Topics include:
* Why telecoms and content owners have to work together to develop a new content business model (and what it could look like)
* The consequences of 3G- and Wimax- powered mobility on the content industries
* How Advertising 2.0 and the future of content are intertwined, and what role a new kind of advertising approach could play in content commerce
* How the traditional, western 'copy economy' is shifting to the access, service & sharing economy, and what the corresponding new business models could look like
* Why the flat rate for music is the solution for the current conumdrum, what it means, and how it could work
* Why we cannot succeed by focusing on Control as the main factor of content monetization - and what else could be done, instead! More at http://tinyurl.com/6fa3t8

About my new book: are you ready for the greatest changes in recent human history? Futurism meets humanism in Gerd Leonhard’s ground-breaking new work of critical observation, discussing the multiple Megashifts that will radically alter not just our society and economy but our values and our biology. Wherever you stand on the scale between technomania and nostalgia for a lost world, this is a book to challenge, provoke, warn and inspire.
Technology vs Humanity: key themes from Futurist Gerd Leonhard's new bookGerd Leonhard
More at www.techvshuman.com -- which side you on? Do we need an EPA for humanity ? Technology vs. Humanity is a last-minute wake up call to take part in the most important conversation humanity may ever have. Will we blindly outsource and abdicate big chunks of our lives to the global technology companies – or will we take back our autonomy and demand a sustainable balance between technology and humanity? By supplying a Socratic and humanistic critique of the Megashifts currently recasting our world, Gerd Leonhard provides the prologue for this great debate. Now is the time to join the dots between big data and digital ethics, to start discussing the moral framework required to steer the evolution of digital life – and to finally articulate the difference between our unique humanity and the rapidly evolving robotic versions. In 1949 George Orwell released Nineteen Eighty-Four – offering us a stark warning of a world dominated by technology and those who own and control it. Nearly seventy years after its publication, Gerd Leonhard investigates how we preserve our humanity in a world that is rapidly beginning to resemble that science fiction.

“Marketing as we know it is over. More than ever mobile devices are becoming our ears, eyes and brains. ‘Nowness’ takes its toll.”
Says Gerd Leonhard, (media)Futurist and one of the keynote speakers during Mobile Convention Amsterdam on the 22nd and 23th of May in the Beurs van Berlage. Leonhard states that marketers are nowadays looking at gauging feelings and pleasure by using electronic gadgets that can read brain activity.
Leonhard reveals several interesting mobile developments in the future, for example about Google Glass and Over-the-top-content (OTT), what these developments mean for consumers and marketers and whether or not ‘offline’ the new luxury is.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
