This document provides an overview of geothermal energy in Lebanon. It begins by reviewing Lebanon's current energy mix, which relies heavily on oil and natural gas. The government has set a target of 12% renewable energy by 2020, and various initiatives are underway to develop wind, solar, hydro, and geothermal resources. Geothermal energy can be used for direct heating applications as well as electricity generation. Worldwide, most geothermal energy is used for space heating, with electricity generation and other industrial uses also common. Developing geothermal resources has significant benefits but also challenges such as high upfront costs. The purpose of the research was to determine the availability of alternative carbon revenue for renewable energy schemes in Zimbabwe taking Chipendeke Micro Hydro Scheme as a case study for the research. The research was based on how the Micro hydro power projects can benefit from the financing in terms of improved revenue provision as a source of income, it came up with the a comparison between carbon financed scheme and a non carbon financed scheme and explained how carbon finance affects the payback period of the project After analysis of the different carbon finance options available a design package of the carbon finance was done and it came up with the mechanism of carbon finance to be used, cost of project with and without carbon finance, how the carbon revenue would be used and the responsible parties for application and receipt of the funding.

2015 is an exceptional year for sustainable development. It is the target year for achieving the MDGs and the year for agreeing on a new set of SDGs in the framework of the post-2015 Development Agenda. In September 2015, 17 SDGs will replace 8 MDGs at the United Nations Summit on the Post-2015 Development Agenda. Many of the 17 SDGs and their associated 169 targets are intertwined and closely related. There are growing calls for the Goals to be implemented through an integrated framework to use resources more efficiently and optimize desired outcomes. This lecture will frame the Water-Energy-Food Nexus perspective as a crucial planning and policy instrument for implementing the SDGs, stressing the opportunities and challenges for operationalizing the concept and highlighting the approaches undertaken by Sustainable Energy for All (SE4All) - a global partnership programme launched by the UN Secretary General to mobilize international action on the Energy Goal (i.e. SDG 7 - access to modern, affordable and sustainable energy for all).

Can be used anywhere any time as it is a web based application (user Location doesn’t matter). No restriction that examiner has to be present when the candidate takes the test.
Every time when lecturers/professors need to conduct examinations they have to sit down think about the questions and then create a whole new set of questions for each and every exam. In some cases the professor may want to give an open book online exam that is the student can take the exam any time anywhere, but the student might have to answer the questions in a limited time period. The professor may want to change the sequence of questions for every student. The problem that a student has is whenever a date for the exam is declared the student has to take it and there is no way he can take it at some other time. This project will create an interface for the examiner to create and store questions in a repository. It will also create an interface for the student to take examinations at his convenience and the questions and/or exams may be timed. Thereby creating an application which can be used by examiners and examinee’s simultaneously.
Examination System is very useful for Teachers/Professors. As in the teaching profession, you are responsible for writing question papers. In the conventional method, you write the question paper on paper, keep question papers separate from answers and all this information you have to keep in a locker to avoid unauthorized access. Using the Examination System you can create a question paper and everything will be written to a single exam file in encrypted format. You can set the General and Administrator password to avoid unauthorized access to your question paper. Every time you start the examination, the program shuffles all the questions and selects them randomly from the database, which reduces the chances of memorizing the questions.

Our project entitled “Water Billing Management System” aims is to generate Water bill with all the charges and penalty. Manual system that is employed is extremely laborious and quite inadequate. It only makes the process more difficult and hard.
The aim of our project is to develop a system that is meant to partially computerize the work performed in the Water Board like generating monthly Water bill, record of consuming unit of water, store record of the customer and previous unpaid record.
We used HTML/PHP as front end and MYSQL as back end for developing our project. HTML is primarily a visual design environment. We can create a android application by designing the form and that make up the user interface. Adding android application code to the form and the objects such as buttons and text boxes on them and adding any required support code in additional modular.
MySQL is free open source database that facilitates the effective management of the databases by connecting them to the software. o Small Footprint: Geothermal has minimal land requirements. Geothermal plants use
3.5 square kilometres per gigawatt of electrical production (not capacity) versus 32
square kilometres and 12 square kilometres for coal facilities and wind farms
respectively.
o Minimal Freshwater requirements. Geothermal use 20 litres of freshwater per MW∙h
versus over 1,000 litres per MW∙h for nuclear, coal, or oil.
o No Harmful Emissions : Being a renewable source of energy, geothermal energy has
helped in reducing global warming and pollution. Geothermal wells release greenhouse
gases trapped deep within the earth, but these emissions are much lower per energy
unit than those of fossil fuels.
o Fixed Cost : Once in operation, Geothermal Energy is immune to fuel cost fluctuations.
o Least visual impact of any power generation technology available.
o Low Maintenance requirements.
