George Patton was a prominent American general during World War II. He displayed strong leadership skills, commanding the Seventh Army in Sicily and later the Third Army in France and Germany during WWII. Some key facts about Patton include that he was born in 1885 in California, graduated from West Point, led troops during WWI which sparked his interest in tanks, and continued exhibiting daring leadership during WWII before dying in 1945 in Germany.
