GeoGebra was created in 2001 as dynamic geometry software combining geometry, algebra, and calculus. The first prototype was developed for a master's thesis in 2002. Between 2004-2006, further development was supported through a PhD project. GeoGebra grew a large worldwide user community with over 300,000 monthly visitors by 2008. The International GeoGebra Institute was founded in 2007 to provide teacher training, support, and research to promote effective use of GeoGebra in classrooms.

The skills involved in geographic teaching, research, and applications are numerous, diverse, and rapidly changing as universities, colleges, schools, governments, businesses, and other organizations introduce new and different methods, techniques, technologies, and practices to support and promote thinking about and doing geography. Examination of GAW 2007 and 2008 websites reveals that becoming informed about the education, training, and work experiences associated with geographic skills is a daunting task. As demonstrated by the websites selected for Geography Awareness Week 2007 and 2008, these skills are not “under one roof”. Rather, they are developed, taught, and used in Canada’s universities, colleges, and schools, by governments at all levels, by businesses in all parts of the country, as well as by advocacy groups, the media, and other organizations.

Study programmes focus more on informatics than on the scientific background of spatial thinking.
This presentation seeks to introduce a newly EU funded project titled, GI-Learner: Developing a learning line on GIScience in school education. Open Source Software, Open Data and Open Standards are the three vital pillars for facilitating implementation/deployment of interoperable, scalable and sustainable geospatial infrastructure. Over the last decade, Free and Open Source Solutions for Geoinformatics (FOSS4G) has supported a variety of societal needs and gained worldwide acceptance. The Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo) has been spearheading the collaborative development of geospatial software and promote its widespread use through several initiatives and outreach activities.
This talk present about the evolution of OSGeo Foundation, its current accomplishments and avenues for future improvements. Some recent developments and opportunities for leveraging the OSGeo ecosystem for geospatial innovation will be discussed.

There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.
