that Started in the 1980s, combining the

funk and touches of soul music.
Deep house tracks normally follow the
trend of having a tempo of between 120
and 125 beats per minute. This style of
house music can often have an acoustic
feeling due to the jazz and soul influences.
This Sub-Genre is known for its complex
melody and use of unrelated chromatic
chords underlying most sequences. The
Sound also incudes a soul/ambient or
lounge vibe to the vocals, if any are
included.

your love’ by Calvin Harris, who is a DJ and the Disciples
The Track includes various synth sounds and over
dubbing. The vocals are also distorted to this ‘cyber type
alien voice’ at parts of the song, giving it that techno
feel to the song.
The song is very up-beat and contains a very strong bass
pluck rhythm and strong ground beat, used constantly
throughout the song.
The video holds a strong narrative, following Famous
American Model, Gigi Hadid, as the main character. She
is filmed to be in holiday, in some sport of ‘Raving
destination’. The shots also includes various scenes of her
being at a house party or a club. There are also various
filter of colours such as green and red and blue, over the
scene. This representing the conventions of club music
and how the colours represent the lights you would find
at that sort of setting or festival.
