Danny Elfman is an American composer, singer, and musician who is best known as the lead singer of rock band Oingo Boingo. He has frequently collaborated with director Tim Burton, composing music for many of his films including The Nightmare Before Christmas, Batman, and Edward Scissorhands. Elfman draws from a variety of musical styles and is a highly accomplished composer, having won an Oscar, Grammy, Emmy, and other awards for his film scores and other works.
