software, cables and wiring, hubs, switches, panels, routers, UPS, etc.
 Maintain “parts department” of hardware components from discarded PCs, etc., for later use
 Implement security policies and programs, including policies regarding disposal of old equipment
 Develop familiarity in all company software in order to assist/instruct others in use thereof

 Analyze/audit system logs and identify/research/repair potential issues
 Create, modify, and organize directory structures, configure Active Directory/Group Policy/Security
to ensure the ethical requirements of the Lawyers’ Professional Responsibility Board are met or
exceeded and ensure privacy of confidential company information in accordance with company
requirements
 Review, approve and apply updates, patches, and configuration changes
 Add, remove, or update user account information, reset passwords, etc., in Active Directory
 Perform system clean-up functions (delete old users, log files, temp files, perform defrag, etc.)
 Maintain working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Subnet masks, OSI Model, VPN
 Create and maintain documentation regarding network configuration, firewall configuration, office
map of jacks/panel/switch configuration, records of software licenses, software version numbers,
hardware serial numbers, requirements, etc.
 Establish/maintain relationships with vendors for purchases, problem resolution, technical support,
etc.
