General Member Meeting Minutes
April 9, 2013
Social
Thank you to all of those who came to the meeting/social. You all contributed such great
questions to our quiz board for Relay! I hope you enjoyed the pizza, pop, and company!
Kids against Hunger packaging
We are donating $250 as a club to help the group Circle K create over 10,000 meals for hungry
kids and families in Africa
You can also volunteer at the packaging eventthis Saturday, April 13th from 11am until it’s done
(usually about 2 hours) in Powers 136
SGA
Congratulations to Marie Reimers and Patrick O’Connor the new President and Vice President of
CMU’s Student Government Association for the 2013-2014 academic year!
Duathlon
Eta Sigma Gamma is hosting a duathlon in support of donating blood!
We will be setting up a water table somewhere along the 5K route and passing out water to
thirsty duathlon-ers!

Relay for Life
Saturday, April 20th starting at 11:00am until Sunday, April 21st until 11:00am
walking = community service and fundraiser; 2hrs=1point and every hour beyond that is 1 point

early morning times (1am-11am on Sunday)
Animal Shelter Donations
We will be taking donations until our last meeting!

March to College Day
A day where 8th graders from around the area come to campus so we can encourage them to
start planning for college and get good grades going into high school.
This event is planned for Thursday, April 25th.

A Million Pennies, A Million Lives
We are joining the national NSCS office’s campaign to raise one million pennies ($10,000) to
grow funds for scholarships, programming, and services.

Currently, we are Silver Star Status for this year!
Silver Star Status means we are in great standing with the national office!
