Student Government Association Information:
SGA is trying to urge president to stop doing business/investing (divesting) with companies who
do harmful things to the environment so we want him to do business with more
environmentally friendly companies

Fundraising:
Thanks for everyone who participated in our Tropical Smoothie fundraiser. If you have you
receipt please bring it to the next NSCS meeting/event you attend.
You can still bring in pop can slips ($5 worth) for a fundraiser point.
We are getting closer on having t-shirts for you soon! Here’s what the front and back will look
like:
Community Service:
Soup Kitchen: Saturday October 28th slots filled, if you have any questions contact MaryKate
Rake and Run: Saturday November 9th. Meet at Park Library at 11:00 a.m.
November Community Service Projects in the Works: 40’s themed dance at Laurel’s Nursing
Home here in Mt. Pleasant. We would dress up!Thursday November 21st 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Socials:
Haunted Yard: October 28th (**CHANGE IN DATE**) Meeting in front of Library at 6:30pm. $2.00
donation is recommended. All donations go to Circle K here on campus
November:
o November 19th we will be making Thanksgiving cards directly following the
meeting*Leadership Institute will also be at this meeting!

Parent E-mails:
We are still collecting parent emails for a competition through the national office. The chapter
with the most emails gets a $200 bonus to their funds! This could help bring pizza to meetings,
provide a scholarship to a member, help fund PACE or so much more. The deadline is October
30th so send them to clark3ns@cmich.edu ASAP!
Additional Points:
Take photos at any NSCS event (can be all from one event, or from multiple events) and post
them onto the NSCS CMU Facebook page!
For every 10 photos you post, you will earn 1 extra point towards active membership!
Relay for Life:
E-Board would like your input on whether or not you would like to participate in Relay for Life
this year.
We would like a general member to step up as a team captain if we were to do it
There is the possibility of teaming up with other clubs if anyone knows of any who would be
willing?

Career Services:
Mackenzie from Career Services which is located in Ronan 240 came to talk with us about resumes,
interviews, etc. The PowerPoint with a TON of helpful information they shared with us will be attached
to the email and put on Orgsync.
