  1. 1. CHICKS WITH STIX MEETS WEDNESDAY – From 1pm to 3pm, come to the Conference Room. We’ll work on projects, help you through a problem and have fun helping others with our God-given gifts. If you have questions, please call Caroline Arndt at 469-3140. HEAR YE HEAR YE – All congregational members are warmly invited to a short series of congregation retreats being hosted by your pastors. From these we hope to reflect on where we came from, what God is doing in our midst, and where He would have us to go. We hope you can join us and bring your memories, ideas and insights. The currently scheduled retreats, with more to follow, are…Saturday February 25th , 8am thru the morning/OSLC through the Ages - Timeline Retreat and Saturday March 10th , 8am thru the morning/The Demographics & Resources of OSLC and Green Bay. Please call or email Michelle to RSVP (468-4065 or info@oslc-gb.org). ADVERTISE YOUR BUSINESS – Changes to distribution of The Voice provides an opportunity for business owners to reach OSLC members about their business. We are no longer limited in some categories as the newsletter is not subject to Bulk Mail rules. To place an ad for $25 per month or $300 per year, email Avra at avrajeans@gmail.com or call Michelle at 468-4065. HOMELESS STUDENTS ARE A REALITY! – Thanks to all who have donated to the Hive (for homeless students in Green Bay). We will continue to collect things through February. New socks and underwear are greatly needed. Check the box near the elevator for more donation ideas. COUNCIL AND VOTERS’ MEETING MINUTES – Copies of the December Council meeting minutes as well as the minutes from the annual voters’ meeting held on December 4, 2011 are now at the Welcome Center. These are also emailed to all members of OSLC if we have email addresses. THE VOICE – FEBRUARY EDITION – The latest edition of our monthly newsletter, The Voice Online, has been emailed to all members and printed and mailed to those who have made the request. Additional printed copies can be found at the Welcome Center. IS IT SCRIP TIME? – There is no time like today to start buying SCRIP from Our Saviour! A percentage of each card sold automatically becomes a donation to OSLC. You plan to buy groceries or gas, or you plan to eat out, OSLC gets a donation. To learn more, stop by the Welcome Center today or come to the office during regular business hours. If you have (or will have) a child at Green Bay Trinity, OSL Preschool or in the youth group, ask about our ‘tuition reimbursement’ program. Buying SCRIP is good stewardship! YOUTH PIZZA SALE – If you ordered pizza from the Youth, please pick up your pies in the gym after the service. If you forgot to order or need extras, there will also be a supply of premade pizzas available for purchase. Thanks for supporting the Youth of Our Saviour with your taste buds!  ICE SKATING – The youth will go ice skating at the De Pere Ice Arena on Sunday, Feb. 26. Please watch announcements for time. $3 for skating; $3 for skates. Please arrange your own transportation. NYG 2013 MEETING – There will be an informational meeting about the 2013 National Youth Gathering (NYG) between church services and during dinner on Wednesday, Feb. 29 at 5:30. If you and/or your child want more information, or want to sign up to attend, please come to this meeting. MIGHTY MITES – You have donated $376.21 to the LWML's mission projects! All that change was heavy! Thanks to everyone who participates. New Mite boxes are always available. LENTEN SUPPERS – A supper will be offered between the 4 and 6:30pm services on Wednesdays during Lent starting with Ash Wednesday (Feb 22). If you or your group would like to serve on one of these nights, please contact Larry Segriff at lsegriff@new.rr.com or call (920) 391-0473. FISH FRY FEBRUARY 11 – Serving 5-7pm. Call in before 4:15pm and schedule a carry out for faster service. To volunteer, call Tim Richter at 362-6450. New volunteers are always welcome. THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS – When you donate used cell phones, empty prescription pill bottles, aluminum cans, beads, and coupons, it’s the best of both worlds…you dispose of something you are done with and others benefit from them. We also collect knitting/sewing materials, Box Tops for Education, Labels for Education, Capri Sun pouches, specially marked milk caps, and Coke reward codes (bottle caps & multi-packs). These items benefit medical mission trips, overseas military families, local missions, GB Trinity Lutheran School, Camp Luther and Our Saviour. QPR COMES BACK TO OUR SAVIOUR! – The Brown County Suicide Prevention Coalition will present QPR, a suicide prevention class in the Fellowship Hall on Wednesday, February 8th from 6-7:30pm. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer - 3 simple steps that anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Each year thousands of Americans, like you, are saying "Yes" to saving the life of a friend, colleague, sibling, or neighbor. Confirmation students will be attending this presentation during class time. All parents, members of the congregation and the community are welcome to attend. RSVPs are appreciated but are not required at (920) 468-4065. DO YOU RUMMAGE SALE? WE NEED YOU!! – The ‘Super Sale’ is in need of an organizer. The organizer sets the date, works on set up, schedules volunteers, determines pricing, and works with the office on event and advertising signs. Donations are already coming in! Contact the office at 468-4065 if you are interested in heading or co-chairing this great fundraising event. A new organizer has been found for the Kids’ Only Sale; more details to come soon on the date and volunteers.
