10% Final Grade
•Introduces students to the Choose a subject related to your major, it could be a fashion designer
if you are in Fashion Design or a video game if you are in Game Art &
methods of accessing Design. Then research information about the subject using resources
resources available via the from the library and complete the following:

• Write a two to three sentence introduction to your subject and
•Addresses methods of why you chose it
searching and retrieving • Create an annotated bibliography of at least 5 sources (use at
information from resources least 2 different types of sources – i.e. books, magazines,
newspapers, trade journals, web site, film, etc.)
•Covers citation creation and – An annotated bibliography is a list of citations to books, articles,
and documents. Each citation should be followed by two or three
formatting sentences about the resource (see sample below)
• Citations should follow MLA format (see Rules for Writers)
Sample Annotated Bibliography:
Smith, John. “Picasso, a Man and His Works.” Atlantic Monthly. Jan. 1,
2008. pp. 209-211.
This is a magazine article covering the works of Picasso. There are
numerous illustrations that demonstrate the artist’s talents, in
particular his early life experiences.
