This document discusses creating gaze annotations in head mounted displays to enable remote collaboration and communication regarding visual content when hands are occupied. It describes using gaze annotations to allow a master to point out different things in a scene to beginners, as well as a user study where gaze annotations were compared to image annotations and found to be more expressive and precise. Gaze annotations add an important dimension for remote collaboration in mobile situations where hands may be busy.
