Game Sense is a student-centered, inquiry-based approach to physical education where students engage in problem-solving activities and help determine lesson content. The teacher acts as a facilitator rather than instructor, supporting and challenging students. Rules are negotiated by students. Movement skills are taught through modified games rather than repetition. This promotes engagement, inclusion, and development of thinking players. Benefits include increased fitness, motor skills, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, self-esteem, and alignment with NSW syllabus objectives of developing values, attitudes, skills and knowledge.
