The Graduate Assistant position provides support to campus residents, assists with concerns, and provides administrative support for their residential hall. As a Graduate Assistant, responsibilities include managing the front desk, serving as a resource for residents, assisting with events, and being on-call. Applicants must be enrolled as a graduate student, have a 3.0 GPA, and obtain a reference letter speaking to their leadership abilities.

1. The Graduate Assistant is a key member of
the Residential Life team. The GA is
primarily responsible for providing support
to residents by serving as a resource and
assists with concerns. The GA also
provides administrative support for the hall,
serves in an on-call rotation, and is
required to live on campus.
Minimum requirements include:
3.0 cumulative GPA
No significant Code of Conduct
Violations
Enrolled as a graduate school
student
In good standing with Student
Financial Services
Available to serve as GA during fall
and winter terms
*We also require a letter of reference from an
individual who can speak about your leadership
skills and work ethic.
Providing a high level of engagement and
relationship building with residents
Managing hall front desk and providing
supervision and development to desk staff
Being accessible to students and their
concerns through regular interaction
Serving as a resource and role model for
residents and staff
Assisting Residential Life with special
events and department programs
Upholding university and department
standards
Serving in the on-call rotation for the
campus
Up to a $10,500 scholarship
