EQUIPMENT LIST
 The camera I used for taking was the built in camera on an
IPhone 5c, this made it the shoot easier for several reasons.
CAMERA
The size of the phone
allows for photos to be
taken in tight spaces
and make the most of
the space around you.
The phone comes with
built in editing software,
this makes it far easier
to edit photos straight
after they’ve been taken,
instead of importing
them onto a computer
and using expensive
software
Large amounts of photos
can be shared to other
devices easily through the
sharing function built into
the phone, by simply
putting photos into an
album multiple people
can access from other
devices
In addition to the built in
editing software, there
are free apps in the app
store which can be used
for photo manipulation
and often they are easier
to use and better than
software like photo shop.
They are very easy to carry
around, because they are small
enough to fit into your pocket
there is no need to carry big bags
with expensive cameras in.
 For the lighting, stage lights were used to create spots of light
on the floor surrounded by darkness, adding effect to the
photos.
LIGHTING
The spotlight effect of the
lighting draws focus onto
anything in the light, so by
placing a person in the
light they will become the
main focus of the image.
The use of lighting also
makes the photos look
more professional than
standard lighting.
Despite only being able
to use one colour light
and two actual lights, by
using different objects
the style of the photos
could be slightly
changed.
Because of the lighting
the editing process of
the photos was easier
because the options
were limited.
 The guitar was used to show that the article was music based,
even without reading.
GUITAR
The guitar was used to show
what style of music the artist
plays, instead of leaving the
reader guessing.
One of the main reasons for
the guitar was that it fit well
with the type of lighting,
which can make the reader
understand the type of
person the artist is more
than just him standing
alone .
It also shows that the
artist is talented
enough to showcase
his skills with a guitar,
letting people know he
is serious about music.
 The drum kit was intended to show the fun and adventurous
side of the artist.
DRUM KIT
Although it was used on the
contents page, the drum kit
was never meant to be used
in the magazine, I decided
to use it because it shows a
variety between two
instruments and no
instruments.
In the final product it was
used to represent a new
challenge for the artist,
which is also shown in the
caption below.
