The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

1. Halloween
Party:
It is a tradition for the school to celebrate
Halloween every school year at the end of October for it
not allows the students to unwind and enjoy but it will
also signal the start of semestral break. For this year,
the theme for the Halloween party is about wizards. The
school got their inspiration for this theme from the movie
series Harry Potter which was loved by many people
around the globe. The event was divided into three main
parts: first was the parade of the students accompanied
by an obstacle course then followed by the main program
in which each class will present their prepared
performance then the last is the Halloween fair in which
the students will go different booths prepared by
different year levels. The program started exactly 4:00
PM.
The wizard fair started with a parade which was
facilitated by the grade 8. It is not just a simple parade
but it is also an obstacle course. As the students walk
through the designated pathway, they must pass the
challenge in each station before proceeding to the next
one. Beforehand, the grade 10 students were sorted in
four groups which are named: Gryffindor, Slytherin,
Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff. In each group, there was also
a designated leader, grade 8 student, and a teacher who
will record the time that each group finish the task given
to them. Mr. Jan Luke Allie S.J. Bayani, the grade 10
adviser, was selected as the teacher-in-charge under the
group of Gryffindor.
2. The first station was called “Hymn-otized.” Each
group was given a set of words and they must arrange it
properly to form a part of the MHCS or NASTECH hymn.
After they arranged it, they must sing it as a group
before proceeding to the next station. The second station
was called “Riddle Station.” In this station, each group was
given one riddle for them to answer. The third station was
called “Spell-a-stone.” In this station, the grade 8
facilitator will give a name of an object and the members
of the group must bring it to them. After that, they must
form a spell about the material they brought. The last
station was called “Broom Run.” In this station, the group
was given a long broom and all the members of the group
must ride the broom without falling. They must pass a
series of obstacle while the riding the broom. The
members must guide their leader who is blindfolded. Once
they reached the end, they could return to the school for
the program proper.
After settling down, the program started. It
started with a doxology which was led by the glee club
members. Charlotte Cuares was also part of the doxology.
It was followed by singing of the national anthem then
MHCS and NASTECH hymn. Ms. Carolina P. Baylen,
campus manager, gave her opening remarks afterwards.
The masters of ceremony for this program were two grade
10 students, Bonel Elias Castillo and Shennaiah Mendoza.
3. The first part of the program was the individual modeling of the students in order to showcase
their wonderful costume. The grade 10 students walked down the catwalk with grace and confidence
which, in no doubt, wowed the judges. A winner was selected in the end for those who have the best
costume for that evening.
After the catwalk, the grade 10 students
then presented their group performance. In their
performance, it started with a funny skit which
enacts the famous TV program advisory by
MTRCB. After that, it was followed by an intense
music which shows the battle between the four
houses of Hogwarts. The audience witnessed how
each group fight for supremacy. The last part of
the presentation shows the union of the four
houses in the medley of songs from the movie The
Greatest Show.
