This document discusses future developments for suppression of enemy air defenses (SEAD) capabilities. It outlines a system of systems approach using layered, diverse assets including electronic attack, cyber and information operations, and self-protection capabilities. New technologies like adaptive electronic warfare systems, expendable decoys, and small drones could provide SEAD force multiplication. Processing flexibility through machine learning and adaptive algorithms will be important. A mix of solutions will be needed to counter increasingly sophisticated integrated air defense systems in contested environments.
