Budget Allocation/ Human Capital Formation:
If you really want to know the priorities of a government, instead of going to their manifesto, check their budget allocation. One major reason our literacy rates have remained low or extremely stagnant is that there is very little allocation in the Budget.
Too Many Stakeholders:
The system has too many stakeholders – teachers, students, administrators and even the Government. While the main focus in on the ones who education is being dispensed to, the children, even the imparters, that is the teachers, aren’t happy with a lot of instability in regulations, unwarranted discipline imposed on them. And, in that bid to please all the stakeholders, and failing at it, the essence of education and literacy is lost. It’s the age-old saying of “Too many cooks spoil the broth”.
The System Is Outdated:
We need better policies, more interactive classroom approach, more student-friendly learning methodology, and better study models which would focus on holistic and comprehensive learning, instead of the flawed and narrow ‘let’s cram and vomit in exam’ models.
How Can It Get Better?:
Education Start-Ups: The statistics clearly show how important it is for our literacy rates to get better. Many online education start-ups are working for the literacy rates to soar. They focus on building interest in the formative years and, hence, target the younger age groups.
Follow the Delhi Model: The Delhi government’s model on budget allocation for education is a solid example of prioritising right. Their programme ‘Mission Buniyaad’ was aimed to beat the poor literacy rate. Today, students are at a level playing field thanks to their exemplary programmes which have also got world recognition. Today, the Delhi Chief Minister’s son and a tailor’s son are going to be studying together at IIT. It’s not about the class divide, but providing equal access to resources- that’s the main ‘end’ a government must seek to achieve through the ‘means’ of these policies.
Awareness Needed to Protect the Child Rights in Indiaijtsrd
India comprises of a huge amount of Population. Among the huge population more than half comprises of children. Children are most beautiful gift of the society. And the rights that should be given to the children that are not being provided to them properly, they are deprived of their rights. That is the biggest problem of India which makes India lag behind. So to make our country more developed and strong awareness should be provided to the people of India. Awareness should also be provided so that the children can enjoy their rights as well as their childhood. The motive of my research is that mainly the rights of education is being violated in a large extent today, child labour is also in a great force in India children below the age of 14 are found working in hazardous places which is strictly prohibited by article 24 of the constitution, child marriage is still prevailing in many places of India. So there is a much need for the awareness to be provided in order to protect the child being deprived of their rights as they are future of our society and no one has the right to snatch it from them. I am going to adopt the doctrine research methodology for my research. The datas and informations will be provided from a relevant source. From this research it will be helpful for me to give some suggestions as well as relevant solutions regarding the problem. Business Plan for a Healthcare OrganizationTwo main tasks.docxhumphrieskalyn
Business Plan for a Healthcare Organization
Two main tasks:
The first task is: Source of Revenue: An Increase in the Medicare Patient Population
The president of Gentiva Health Services is considering increasing her number of Medicare patients served next year. However, to do so she must begin to use RNs for client visits, which Medicare reimburses at $45 per visit. An RN costs $35 per hour versus the current cost of $15 for an LPN or nurse’s aide. The president believes she can increase her patient visits by 15% by accepting Medicare patients. She is also aware that if she increases her Medicare patients, the company’s administrative costs will increase by approximately $10,000 per year because of the claims file complexity.
Using the Gentiva Health Services Statement of Income http://investors.gentiva.com/financials.cfm, use the following volumes for your calculations:
Volume for the year:
· Flexible budget: 6,000 visits
· Static budget: 5,945 visits
· Actual budget: 5,889 visits
Prepare a two-page report that addresses the following:
1 How many more visits will the company generate if it accepts Medicare patients?
2 What would be the estimated profit or loss associated with the Medicare service line?
3 Would you recommend that Gentiva Health Services increase its number of Medicare patients served? Why or why not?
The second task is: Business Plan
Review the quarterly report and develop a business plan for the organization for its upcoming financial year. Be sure to include the following in your organized business plan:
· Organization segment
· Marketing segment
· Financial segment
· Projected cash flow statement
· Projected income statement
· Projected balance sheet
Feel free to take liberties with information needed that is not available in the report.
You may find the quarterly report at http://investors.gentiva.com/financials.cfm Include all required tasks for this assignment in a Word document.

Introduction
Technology has been so close to the children in this century than any other time in the past. Thus, it is influencing them negatively and positively. The world is moving in a technology path and it is the responsibility the parent to ensure that children too are not in behind by ensuring that they have the right environment that will help them grow technological . However, the information the children learn can be good or bad to them and it depends on the internet and the sources they get the information. Therefore, it is upto the responsibility of the parent to determine the kind of information that their children get. Due in Week 3 and worth 50 points
Consider a social issue in which you are interested. It could be human freedom, sexuality, deviance, crime, social mobility, poverty, education, aging, or another similar issue. Select a specific hypothesis that you will evaluate against the available evidence from your library / Internet research.
The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:
· Apply the sociological perspective to a variety of socioeconomic and political problems.
· Use technology and information resources to research issues in sociology.
· Write clearly and concisely about sociology using proper writing mechanics.
Answer for Week 3 Assignmnet
One of the most social problems all over the world is poverty. Poverty problems are extensive and complex. Poverty has grown to be accepted and understood as a natural appearance in society. Poverty plays a role as being very common in many countries like Philippines. The causes of poverty can be inherited from the family, or it can be from choosing the wrong decision (Mentors International » The Poverty Problem. (n.d.). I think some of the reasons why many people today are facing numerous struggles that include poverty are lack of education, too many population, and government corruption (Causes of Poverty — Global Issues. (n.d.). People who don’t have a good education can’t find a better job to support their family needs (Mentors International » The Poverty Problem. (n.d.). No matter how hard they work, the money is not enough because the expenses are higher than their wages (Causes of Poverty — Global Issues. (n.d.). Having too many children can cause poverty because the more people addition to the family, the more people they have to feed. People in Politics who keep spending government funds for their own sake are causing poverty as well. Poverty is the state for the majority of the world’s people and nation. Several issues of poverty are hunger, illness, crimes, human trafficking, etc.
An example of a poor country is Philippines. The population of the Philippines is estimated at 100,096,496 as of July 1, 2014. Philippines's population is equivalent to 1.38% of the total world population. The Philippines ranks number 12 in the list of countries by population (Google. (n.d.). Many people that I know from Philippines chose to leave their kids and family to work overseas because the values of the money overseas are bigger than the Philippine money. Most of the people in the Philippines who do not have a good education end up working abroad as the domestic helper all over the world. They do not have enough money to send their children to school because the money that they were making is not sufficient to feed their kids. School is .

S13c1 chapter 1-facts and figures on child labour.Shivu P
Model village and model nation is the concept generated to have a static population, a static area of land consumed in the name of village / town / city / road / railway track /infrastructure. We all know, the population of the world is growing very rapidly, but most of us will not think, ‘with this population growth there is more forest and agriculture land is consumed in the name of village / town / town development / city / roads / railway tracks / infrastructure and so on’ on one side, and ‘there is increased demand for food with decreased agriculture and forest land’ on the other side. Please take this issue seriously. Small villages / small settlements will further add burden to the road / railway track / electricity channels / infrastructures like school, offices of the public works, revenue department, electricity offices, hospitals, and so on. This burden further increases where there are scattered houses away from the settlement in the farm / forest area and so on. No government can assure hundred feet asphalted double road to all the villages with the present scattered villages, if that is the case then most of the forest and agriculture lands needs to be converted in to roads to connect a single village from all the eight sides. So it is the time to think about decreasing the number of villages by fusing all the small satellite settlements and creating good connecting roads with less number of quality schools, hospitals, offices and other infrastructures. This is the general introduction to the chapter ‘Model village and model nation’.
In this particular chapter, the various causes for child labor, the consequences in their life and its influence on the national development and on others are mentioned. People living away from the main village for various reasons, people earning less with increase in the cost of living might have influenced the parents to push their children to the child labor.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

2. HOW PRODUCTIVE WILL WE BE?
55%
A child born in the Philippines today will only reach half of
his or her potential upon reaching working age. The World
Bank estimates the Human Capital Index of the country to
be at 55%, pulled down mostly by quality of education
(64%) and health (88%).
In light of Industry 4.0, it is even more important for the
country to invest in its human capital – higher level cognitive
skills (critical thinking, problem solving, learning to learn) will
be of greater importance in the jobs of tomorrow.

3 of every 10 Filipino
children are stunted.
This can have lifelong
effects on a person’s
cognitive development.
While a typical child is
expected to be in
school for 12.8 years,
when adjusted for
quality this is only
equivalent to 8.4 years
of Learning Adjusted
School Years.
3. The Philippines lags
behind its Asian
neighbors in terms of
quality of education.
While a typical Filipino is expected
to spend 12.8 years in school (parity
versus most other Asian countries),
the Learning Adjusted Years of
School is only at 8.4. This is almost 4
years behind the more developed
Asian countries.
In particular, Vietnam whose GDP
PC is not far from the Philippines,
has Learning Adjusted Years of
School that is 2 years more.
HOW DOES THE PHILIPPINES
COMPARE VS. ITS NEIGHBORS
4. Stunting appears to be a
prevalent issue among
the lower middle income
countries in Asia.
Nearly 30% of children in most of the lower
middle income countries (including the
Philippines) are stunted.
Stunting needs to be addressed urgently, as
this puts a child at a significant lifelong
disadvantage. Beyond the physical
manifestation (shorter height for their age),
brain development is also impaired.
Because of the resulting lower cognitive ability,
a stunted child’s future job potential is
negatively affected.
As stunting is prevalent among the
disadvantaged sectors, then this puts them
further behind particularly in light of higher
cognitive demands of the jobs of tomorrow.
HOW DOES THE PHILIPPINES

5. WHAT’S YOUR TIME WORTH?
$70Mper day lost due to traffic
Typical commuter in Metro Manila would
spend 2-6 hours commuting covering 10-
20kms one way. Being stuck in traffic is
one of the most unproductive use of time.
A key metric that a city like Metro
Manila should capture is average
commuter time per person (NOT cars)
per km. Time wasted in traffic is time lost
for developing human capital.
That extra hour or two a day could be
spent mostly to either improve one’s health
(rest, working out) or improve one’s
knowledge (reading, taking classes, doing
online courses) or improving parent child

6. What can you do for
yourself?
The Future of Work requires lifelong learning. As
AI and Automation begin to take on tasks that
humans used to do, workers of tomorrow need to
upskills themselves in order to remain competitive.
What can you do now?
While taking up a full masters course is something
that would be very difficult, various digital courses
have made higher learning within reach of most
people.
Most are free. Most are taught by professors in top
universities globally. Most you can take in just a

7. What can you
do for others? • Go online and volunteer. Digital technology has made looking
for volunteer work easier (e.g. iVolunteer Philippines).
• Studies have show that the first 1,000 days is the most crucial
for a child’s development. What happens in the first 1,000 days
of a child’s life has lifelong implications.
• This is something you can do now. Early Childhood
Development (ECD) will not only benefit the child, but society
as a whole. With the stunting affecting a large number of
Filipino kids, helping with ECD is one concrete, high impact
step all of us can do right now.

refresh its contents, copy a table, send to a Viber group chat - tasks that
before you’d ask a human to do.
In 15 minutes, with absolutely no coding experience, anyone can use the RPA
model below. It is essentially a robot. It has become much easier to copy what
humans do.
More importantly, the technology is here. Now.
In the face of this, we humans need to evolve. We need to be better. We need
to demand better from our government, demand better from ourselves,
demand better for others.
