This document provides a case study for the full demolition of a 3-story commercial building located at 12, Jalan Meru in Klang, Selangor. The building needs to be demolished to make way for a new commercial building. Special precautions must be taken due to the building's concrete structure and connections to adjoining buildings. The demolition process will include relocating utility lines, erecting safety hoarding, clearing debris, and properly disposing of waste off-site.

2. GENERAL Case study : No 12, Jalan Meru, 41050 Klang, Selangor It’s a 3 storey shop lot , structurally concrete with a flat roof . This building need to be demolish because the owner want to build new commercial building on it. Heavy traffic movement especially for the pedestrian and vehicle movements passing the front site and the other choices is to use another road behind the building which has no traffic movement.

3. ADJOINING BUILDING The adjoining building have same design and specification as the demolish building. Same concrete structure and having the flat roof Structurally effecting when demolish because of the continuous beam between the adjoining building and the demolish A copy of the letter sent to the occupants of nearby.

4. USE OF THE BUILDING Commercial building Shop at the ground level and office use for the 2 nd and 3 rd floor . There is no dangerous material used for that building such as the flammable substances, toxic substances, lead, and asbestos. No underground tank and no basement.

5. PUBLIC SERVICE The services line is fixed underground . - electrical, water piping, drains and telephone cable must be relocated . Arrangement must be done with SYABAS, TNB and Telekom for the cutting and relocation. Footpaths for the peoples must be change to ensure the safety for pedestrian and vehicle.

6. DANGEROUS STRUCTURE Shoring & temporary support where the possibilities of structural modification to enable efficient demolition. The shops are sharing the same main beam, the wall, column and have the staircase which means special precaution must be taken during demolish work to avoid all these from collapsed. Need to get confirmation from local authority

14. WALLS The shops are having the walls which are properly bounded into front and rear wall. Use flying shore to hold between the wall. The consultation from engineer is needed to determine whether the wall can stand the demolish or not. Use the hand tools method
