But what is particularly found problematic is the apparent contradiction in the definition of magical
realism as an amalgamation of realism and fantasy such as The Metamorphosis (129).
Many things are fantasy, but now since I have learned what magical realism is, I see magical realism
in The Metamorphosis. I feel that waking up and being something else is magical and a person hearing

Beyond Petroleum (BP) formerly British Petroleum is a company that claims to be devoted to finding
new energy sources with little impact on the environment. Ferrell, Fraderich, and Ferrell, explain in
their Business Ethics textbook in 2012 that after several environmental tragedies in the mid to late
2000 s, the company had to reassess their ethical standards and make changes to repair their image
and regain the confidence of their stakeholders. During this time, they began investing in wind, solar,
biofuels, and many other new types of energy sources. They also created programs to educate citizens
and stakeholders about environmental awareness. Most importantly, though, they also tasked their
ethics and compliance team with creating a code of conduct policy and communicate it out to every
employee (p.343 345). Considering that BP is a worldwide company, with employees of diverse

Since its establishment in the beginning of twentieth century, oil palm plantation management has
evolved rapidly in terms of efficiency and productivity. Oil palm is a versatile plant that almost every
single part of it proven to be useful (Figure 1). Oil palm produced two types of oil: palm oil and palm
kernel oil. They are both extracted from mesocarp and the seed or kernel (hard shell mesocarp) by
delicate separation at certain phases in palm oil factory/milling processes (Basiron 2007). The two oils
have different uses for different market niches. While palm oil is mainly used as food material, palm
kernel oil is usually used as raw material in oleochemical industry such as detergents, toiletry, and
cosmetics products. Therefore, almost 50% of products that can be found in the supermarket contains

In the society we live in today people are selfish and narsistic by nature. I believe it is because the
world has fallen away from God. While Jesus walked on this earth He served. Not only did he serve
the people he met but he served God. Having a servant mentality is putting someone else s needs
before your own. Serventhood begins by fullfiling a need of a person without judgement and/or
condemnation. It could be as easy as preparing a meal for a family who has just welcomed a baby into
the family or cleaning the yard of a person who is unable to do it themselves. When a persons needs
are being met it opens their heart and mind to the reasoning behind the act. Mission trips are also a
great way of serving. Not all missions are done in other countries, they can be done in your town just
as easy as abroad. The purpose in a mission is serve a group of people on behalf of God.
An Advantage would be that a person is able to have their needs met while also witnessing the love of
Jesus. The idea behind servanthood would be to establish a relationship. Earning the trust of the
person by simply showing that their needs matter and deserve to be met. An advantage of serving
would be inviting a nonbeliever to join you on a mission trip. The thought of travel often times is
enough to get a person interested, in turn the Holy Spirit will utilize the servanthood to pour into the
heart of a nonbeliever that may not be possible in their own back yard.
