BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY VISION
Sharing urban data is not new
!X!3
Beyond open data - lessons learnt
• Establish solid use cases
with real business value
• Create regional/national
data communities
• Establish common
standards for data sharing
Copenhagen City Data Exchange
!X!4
• How do we expand our service to other cities if all the effort is in
negotiating access to data?
• Can we make money out of our IoT infrastructure investments?
• How can we enable people to build more services in out city?
New business value in sharing IoT data
!X!5
Urban Data,
reimagined.
!X!6
A one-stop shop for
urban IoT data.
Enabling simple access to IoT data from
thousands of cities around the world via a
single platform.
!X!7
How does it work?
A marketplace where you can search and
subscribe to IoT data streams from urban
environments.
A federated access system allows cities to
expose their data to many developers and
data users around the world through a
common portal.
!X!8
Where does the
data come from?
Currently we have onboarded data from
Cities and private companies.
Onboarding a new data source is easy as
long as it’s NGSI v2 compliant.
!X!9
How can it be
licensed?
Data providers are able of attaching
licenses and/or payment terms to their
data sources and the agreement will be
stored on the blockchain, making it
tamper-proof.
