The document proposes creating collaborative virtual hubs that aggregate, harmonize, and visualize transportation-related data to make it easier for innovators to create new services and applications. Currently, geographic data is disharmonized, scattered across domains, difficult to access, and not validated for volunteered geographic information. The technology needs to combine spatial and non-spatial data to extract value and increase accuracy. Businesses and other stakeholders require easier APIs and user interfaces to access and analyze data and develop new services to derive insights and apply knowledge.
