 My ninth grade students are even more

restless today. All they can talk about is the
big game. There is no way the can keep
quiet today.
 Today I will give my class a worksheet to

evaluate their understanding of what we have
learned this week. They will also be using
technology to broaden their knowledge.
 I will use a worksheet (I frown upon them

myself), and a blog to get a good feel for
what my students learned this week, and
what they could use some improvement in.
 I will first give my students a worksheet on

solving systems of equations. I will have
them work independently on them, but they
won’t get a grade for it until it is all correct.
They can turn it in as many times they want
until the following Friday, and I will continue
to give it back until it is all correct. Their
homework for the weekend will simply be to
log onto Blogger, and go to our discussion
board on Fantasy Football. There they will
put their opinions on the lesson, and give me
feedback.
 Students will be required to complete the

worksheet and post a comment on the blog
entry to receive full credit for that day.
 I will use the feedback on our blog to

evaluate the unit. I will then make any
revisions I need to for the following year.
