Frequent power trips during lightning strikes are causing issues for the document author. Their power trips 5-10 times during a normal thunderstorm while their neighbor's power does not trip. Responders suggest replacing the Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker (ELCB) as it is likely too sensitive and aging. A new ELCB of a different, reliable brand should resolve the frequent tripping issue during lightning storms. The author is advised to contact an electrician to inspect the electrical system and replace the ELCB.

This document presents information about electric charge and how it moves through circuits. It discusses conductors and insulators, how charge can be given to objects through friction, and how like charges repel and opposite charges attract. Examples of electrostatic induction and applications of static electricity like photocopiers, inkjet printers, van de Graaff generators, and electrostatic painting and precipitation are also summarized. The document encourages exploring simulations on electric charge at the provided website for more learning.
1) The document discusses the connection between static electricity and cone-bearing trees. Cone-bearing trees secrete resin when their bark is broken, which hardens and seals wounds. This resin can fossilize over time to form amber.
2) Ancient Greeks noticed that amber could attract small bits of straw or ash when rubbed with wool or fur. They believed amber had magical properties related to this. The name they gave amber, "elektron", means "substance of the Sun".
3) By the 17th century, scientists had sparked curiosity about amber's properties. It was finally explained that amber produces static electricity when rubbed, transferring electrons between the objects.

This document discusses photos and diagrams related to Stan Meyer's water fuel cell technology. It explains that the polarization process is important for gas production, and that the voltage should not be completely shut off during gating. An offset circuit is needed to keep the voltage from falling to zero during gating and disrupting the polarization. Diagrams of Stan Meyer's circuits are referenced to understand how he implemented the offset and synchronized the gating and pulse frequencies.
Thane Heins had an idea in the 1980s about increasing motor efficiency by retarding counter-EMF but was dismissed by his professor. He experimented in his basement in the 2000s and discovered his "Regenerative Acceleration" technology can increase motor output up to 200% by storing magnetic energy from flywheel magnets and releasing it to boost acceleration. The author witnessed a demonstration showing an electric vehicle that gained charge and speed without drawing additional power, challenging conventional understanding of physics but explained by latent energy storage in rare earth magnets. While not creating unlimited free energy, it can extend vehicle range and boost other generator and motor outputs.

Ronnie Walker provides explanations about photos of Stan Meyer's fuel cell circuitry. The first photo shows applying high voltage to the cell, which will not produce gas on its own. The second photo shows a constant pulse voltage without gating, which maintains polarization. Ronnie explains that an offset circuit is needed for the gating frequency to keep the voltage from falling to zero and disrupting polarization during gating. Building Stan's frequency card and adding an offset circuit for gating could help synchronize frequencies and maintain polarization for gas production.
This document discusses several simple LED flasher circuits that can be used to flash one or two LEDs. The simplest circuit uses a flashing LED with no control over the flash rate. The transistor LED flasher circuit consists of two transistors, two capacitors and four resistors and allows control over the flash rate and duty cycle. The basic LED flasher circuit uses a NE555 timer IC and allows for a variable flash rate. Finally, the document discusses the now discontinued LM3909 LED flasher chip which was not found to be very useful.
Solar Power Basics; Large and small for day to day and survival Bob Mayer
Renewable energy is the key to the future. It's also critical in day to day living and preparing for survival. I run my home office off of solar, but also have a solar panels in my Jeep. Here is some basic information I've learned over the past year.
The document provides an overview of how electricity works. It explains that electricity is the flow of electrons through conductors. Materials like metals have free electrons that allow electricity to flow, while insulators do not. Generators use magnets to induce electron flow, creating electricity. Electrical circuits require a power source, conductor, and load to provide a complete path for electrons to flow through. The voltage pushes electrons through the circuit, while current is the flow of electrons and resistance impedes their flow. Alternating current produced by power plants flows back and forth rather than one direction.

1) The document compares traditional garden lights and solar garden lights, noting that solar lights do not require wiring, electricity bills, or risk of electric shock.
2) It states that the quality of a solar garden light matters most when making a purchase, as low quality lights may not work after rainy days or have batteries that only last 1-2 years.
3) The document describes EcoTawsun solar garden lights, which can store extra electricity to work for up to 7 consecutive rainy days through a brightness adjustment technique. It also allows users to change batteries themselves.
The document discusses symbols used to represent electrical components in circuit diagrams such as cells, switches, wires, and batteries. It provides examples of circuit diagrams and problems involving wiring cells to make batteries and identifying issues that prevent circuits from working properly. Safety tips are also discussed such as using MCBs instead of fuses and avoiding overloading circuits.
This document provides an introduction to wiring, including:
1) It explains the basics of electricity and what the different colored wires (black, white, green) mean in a circuit.
2) It describes how power gets from the power station to a home, including high power lines, transformers, and the service panel.
3) It discusses circuit breakers and their purpose of shutting off power if there is a fault, to prevent fires or injuries. It notes breakers come in various amp sizes to sustain the proper current for devices on a circuit.
A circuit breaker is a mechanical device that can create, carry, or break a circuit under normal and abnormal circuit conditions, either manually or automatically. Advanced control scheme of doubly fed induction generator for wind turbine us...IJECEIAES
This paper describes a speed control device for generating electrical energy on an electricity network based on the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) used for wind power conversion systems. At first, a double-fed induction generator model was constructed. A control law is formulated to govern the flow of energy between the stator of a DFIG and the energy network using three types of controllers: proportional integral (PI), sliding mode controller (SMC) and second order sliding mode controller (SOSMC). Their different results in terms of power reference tracking, reaction to unexpected speed fluctuations, sensitivity to perturbations, and resilience against machine parameter alterations are compared. MATLAB/Simulink was used to conduct the simulations for the preceding study. Multiple simulations have shown very satisfying results, and the investigations demonstrate the efficacy and power-enhancing capabilities of the suggested control system.

DEEP LEARNING FOR SMART GRID INTRUSION DETECTION: A HYBRID CNN-LSTM-BASED MODELijaia
As digital technology becomes more deeply embedded in power systems, protecting the communication
networks of Smart Grids (SG) has emerged as a critical concern. Distributed Network Protocol 3 (DNP3)
represents a multi-tiered application layer protocol extensively utilized in Supervisory Control and Data
Acquisition (SCADA)-based smart grids to facilitate real-time data gathering and control functionalities.
Robust Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) are necessary for early threat detection and mitigation because
of the interconnection of these networks, which makes them vulnerable to a variety of cyberattacks. To
solve this issue, this paper develops a hybrid Deep Learning (DL) model specifically designed for intrusion
detection in smart grids. The proposed approach is a combination of the Convolutional Neural Network
(CNN) and the Long-Short-Term Memory algorithms (LSTM). We employed a recent intrusion detection
dataset (DNP3), which focuses on unauthorized commands and Denial of Service (DoS) cyberattacks, to
train and test our model. The results of our experiments show that our CNN-LSTM method is much better
at finding smart grid intrusions than other deep learning algorithms used for classification. In addition,
our proposed approach improves accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score, achieving a high detection
accuracy rate of 99.50%.
Embedded machine learning-based road conditions and driving behavior monitoringIJECEIAES
Car accident rates have increased in recent years, resulting in losses in human lives, properties, and other financial costs. An embedded machine learning-based system is developed to address this critical issue. The system can monitor road conditions, detect driving patterns, and identify aggressive driving behaviors. The system is based on neural networks trained on a comprehensive dataset of driving events, driving styles, and road conditions. The system effectively detects potential risks and helps mitigate the frequency and impact of accidents. The primary goal is to ensure the safety of drivers and vehicles. Collecting data involved gathering information on three key road events: normal street and normal drive, speed bumps, circular yellow speed bumps, and three aggressive driving actions: sudden start, sudden stop, and sudden entry. The gathered data is processed and analyzed using a machine learning system designed for limited power and memory devices. The developed system resulted in 91.9% accuracy, 93.6% precision, and 92% recall. The achieved inference time on an Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense with a 32-bit CPU running at 64 MHz is 34 ms and requires 2.6 kB peak RAM and 139.9 kB program flash memory, making it suitable for resource-constrained embedded systems.

Anyone knows why my power trips even at the slightest lightning strike?
During one normal thunderstorm, it can trip for up to 5-10 times. My neighbour's power doesn't get tripped, while mine does.
Anyone can troubleshoot what component in the electrical system is faulty? It's very annoying when it trips when I'm doing something
important on the computer. I want to fix this frequent tripping problem, I don't want to buy a UPS.
Thanks.

I think you misunderstood my problem, I strongly believe that there is a problem with the electrical system, causing the frequent power trips. Of course,

with the electrical system. As I've mentioned before, my neighbour's power doesn't trip when mine trips.
If I wanted to, I could go out and buy a UPS right now, but I want to get to the root of the problem. Buying a UPS, but still facing the frequent power trip
want to troubleshoot what is wrong with the electrical system first.

Life is Half Spent Before One
knows what life is~
in my old house even the slightest lighting makes the power trip.
My house is the only house in 16 acres and is on a hill so i guess its normal for it to trip at slightest lighting. I asked my electrical technician and he sa id t
often during lighting.
Does it trip a lot lastime? or just recently tripping a lot?

This is because when the lightning hits the ground (open area) it feeds back to your copper grounding rods which is connected to your ELCB and therefor

I've asked an electrician, but he says it's normal. I don't believe him, because when I look out the window, the neighbours lights are all on. And it happen
time we hear thunder, the lights will go off. It happens even when the lightning is more than 1km away. We're reduced to waiting for the thunderstorm to
flipping the switch on the ELCB because it will simply trip again.
rattan, so what is a good brand? which shop should we go to if we're around the KL area.

Anyone knows why my power trips even at the slightest lightning strike?
During one normal thunderstorm, it can trip for up to 5-10 times. My neighbour's power doesn't get tripped, while mine does.
Anyone can troubleshoot what component in the electrical system is faulty? It's very annoying when it trips when I'm doing so mething important on the c
frequent tripping problem, I don't want to buy a UPS.
Thanks.
Hi , i have same problem with you which my house power trip more than few time during normal thunderstorm. Just want to know you have solved this p

hmm was searching for solution to this problem..and found this thread..i have the exact same problem..but only for 1 circuit in my house...even if the thu
will trip...annoying cos my fridge and computer is on this circuit.
Will try to get electrician to change to a better ELCB
SURGE ARRESTORS
You can also install a "whole-house" surge arrestor. You generallyinstall these units near your electric meter, where the power lines run to your building. This protects all the circuits in your
house or office from a certain range of voltage surges.Units designed for whole-house protection are generallybuiltfor outdoor installation.Better surge arrestors can handle surges up to
20,000 volts, while standard outletsurge protectors can'thandle more than 6,000 volts. Some high-end arrestors can actuallymonitor weather conditions and will shutdown the power supply
to more sensitive electronics when lightning is in the area.
A whole-house surge protector will suppress power surges stemming from outside sources -- utility company problems, transformer switching, etc. -- but won't do anything to suppress
the high number ofpower surges thatoriginate inside your house, due to the operations ofyour appliances.

Circuit breaker in my home always get tripped everytime lightning strike during raining day. Wonder anyone in the same plight as me?
There is nothing I can do but wait for the lightning to stop striking everytime during raining day if not the curcuit breaker will just keep tripping thus no point resetting it.
I see other people home (e.g. my neighbour) still have their power on even when lightning strike. Any reason why its always my home that kena blackout?
What's up with the lightning rods on top of my hdb flat anyway? I read that circuit breaker can trip due to lightning which striked the building thus causing a surge in the
wiring.
Apparently, the lightning rods on top of my hdb flat is not doing it's job well in attracting the lightning to strike it.
11. Hmm... I thought of that but what can they do? Unless it is true that circuit breaker can trip due to lightning which striked the building thus
causing a surge in the wiring (I read it on the net, anyone expert in this?) and the lightning rods is indeed faulty but I have no way to
prove that it is faulty.
It can also be other reasons why it is always my house's circuit breaker that kena tripped which I have no idea what can be the other
cause currently. What I can do now is to suck thumb and wait for the ligtning strikes to be over before I can reset my circuit breaker.

So your building must be damn lucky to get struck all the time there is lightning right? Geez.
The most likely problem is your Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker being more sensitive, probably from wear and tear. Replace it with a new
one of another brand should do the trick. Get an electrician to do it, its not that expensive, should be less than 40 bucks.
Lightning need not conduct thru a lightning conductor, it can go ground up also you know?

Ah... Interesting. It's been like, dunno 15 years I think, since I first started staying here.
Can replace already. Give your town council a call, and they can recommend a licenced electrician to do it for you.
12. When I moved into my resale flat about 2 years back, it was already close to 20 years old, and same like you, power tripped during
lightning storms also. Until one fine day, dad got the electrician to replace it, and no more such thing.
I'm still at my office building, just found out the lightning just now knocked out the power supply to all the lifts.

Yes, should ask a qualified electrician to check your box for any fault.
Also call up TC and ask them to check too.
Best is to get both together to check on the spot.
