• Put on your gloves to avoid
any contamination
• Open the lid of the urine
bottle
• Put one drop of urine on the
slide
• Put one slide cover on it
• Look under the microscope
• Discard the slide after work
11. The actual work
• Bring your own urine sample to the
class
• Wear gloves to avoid contamination
• Open the lid of the bottle
• Put one of the stipes in the urine for
a few seconds
• Immediately bring the strip out of
the urine and put it near the bottle
surface
• Compare the changed color with the
colors on the surface of the bottle
