Tahoe Silicon Mountain, a network of technology professionals who live and work in the Tahoe-Truckee area, is pleased to welcome Kylie Rowe to present: “Fostering an Entrepreneurial Mindset.” Entrepreneurship isn’t traditionally thought of as a viable career path. The Ozmen Center for Entrepreneurship has set out to change that – to encourage students across all disciplines to learn how to think like entrepreneurs, from their mindset, to strategies, to creativity and execution. Since opening its doors in the University of Nevada, Reno's College of Business in September 2014, the Ozmen Center for Entrepreneurship has built an interdisciplinary program spanning across the campus and out into the community. The goals of the Ozmen Center are to inspire idea creation, facilitate entrepreneurship courses and support the innovation and new enterprise that drive economic growth. Kylie Rowe, Assistant Director at the Ozmen Center for Entrepreneurship and President of the Graduate Student Association at University of Nevada, Reno will talk to us about the successes and challenges during the first year of operation at the Ozmen Center. Special this month, at 8pm, we will have a 5-minute presentation by the 10-13 year olds of Tahoe Technologics, a Truckee FIRST LEGO League robot team, where they will share their work on this year's Trash Trek project.
