INTRODUCTION: Bangladesh, an excellent platformto get fresh water, brackish
water and marine water fish resources. In context of global export, 1st

Aor, Carp & other cat fishes are popular in the branded restaurant. Export

IMPORTANCE OF THIS BUSINESS: After approval 1st
grade fishes from the fish
from processing plant, 2nd
grade & deteriorated quality fishes come to the
local market. These products are surely bleaching treated & sometimes
formalin dipped preservation may be applied in the surface/mouth
cavity/inside the anal of fishes from the worse supplier. Local suppliers also
reduce preservation (chilling or icing ratio) / handling (air sealed basket) /
transportation (air blast freezing vehicle) cost by using formalin with ice to
retard bacterial decomposition. After intake from the local community
people, trace element of formalin may destroy people’s lung, heart, liver,
kidney, brain, reproductive organ, etc. passively, long term intake of
formalin may give birth of disabled child, the burden for our community.
Basically, Bangladeshi consumers have very few knowledge about quality,
especially formalin free fishes.
