Formal school is compared to home schooling. Formal school is assumed to be better because it allows for the development of professional skills needed by countries and industries, helps address the lack of skilled human resources, and provides a consistent system for effectively valuing skill development. Formal schooling is argued to be the better option for solving these issues over home schooling.
