Power and Agency, Agency and Structure
Agency as “the capability of a self
To take action that will have an impact
On a social situation” (Somekh, 2006: 15)

The reflexivity which lies at the heart
Of the action research
The agency deposes its power
In benefit of an authentic self
Which actions are seen in practical actions. (Elliot, 2007)

Human behavior on a group level
“dilemma analysis” identifies the conflicts
Between their values and practices, looking for better alignments
Multi self Contextually and social situated
Understanding at the end
that only through “engagement”
Of the “I” and the “me”
With the “generalized other” does the individual
“develop a complete self”

Mind and activity
culturaltools and social experience
Language constructs paths to go around
Meaning and memory, believing and knowing
Discourses and practice, perceptions and imaginings

The self and identity
Impacted agency, impacted beings
Reflecting schools
More reflection and less on acting and doing.
