This document summarizes key concepts of force and motion including friction, gravity, and Newton's three laws of motion. Newton's first law states that an object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. Newton's second law defines the relationship between force, mass, and acceleration. Newton's third law explains that for every action force there is an equal and opposite reaction force.

• Friction- the force that one surface exerts on
an other when the two rub together.
• Gravity- the force that pulls all objects towards
another.

• Newton’s 1st Law-an object at rest will stay at
rest and an in motion will stay in motion at a
constant velocity or until acted upon by an
unbalanced force. More Mass, More Inertia!!!

4. Newton’s 2nd Law
• Newton’s 2nd Law- force equals mass times
acceleration (F=MxA)

5. Newton’s 3rd Law
• Newton’s 3rd Law- every time one object
exerts a force on another object, the second
object exerts a force that is equal size in the
opposite direction back on the first object.
